I think it is mid because it is too high in br I think the 1944 variant should be 6.3 it has mid armor and a great gun but the gun has a 20 second reload I would also argue it isn’t very survivable that’s just my opinion tho

I say the jagdtiger should be 7.0 it can pen everything at 6.7 and has insane armour, it does NOT belong at 6.7, also the 274mm if penetration on the shell and the thing that it has 800 grams of tnt in the shell, it should be moved up

Fair enough argument but as a us main i have to say that both is2 variants are hard to deal with withought heatfs. Not the best player though so theres that. But 6.3 is reasonable considering the reload and slow turret traverse

Gaijin has nerfed the IS-2 insanely, in order to entice more Michael whittman wannabe Tiger players to the game. Every move theyve made in the WW2 BRs was to made to give the Tiger players an easy time, including raising the IS2 brs, and nerfing the 122mm shell, the same shell that with kill Tiger crews without even hitting the tank just from concussive force alone

12:14 It's actually two 14mm plates riveted together. WT just can't deal with the concept of layered armor. The 122mm doesn't fuze because it's only triggered on 19mm. At the same time, layered armor is more easily overmatched, particular by Russian B(S) shells.

i usually do the butt first tactic with the IS2s you risk being stuck when you get hit in the engine but you be able to tank a lot more than when you go front first

I know that it was it is an old battle pass premium but the object 248 has the same chasis same br but with a 100mm with half of the reload time(without sacrificing alot of expo filler) and if we dont care about the chasis the t34-100 also has a 100mm gun at a lower br.

the 122 APHE shell is why we all love/hate it. but the long reload is what keeps me from trying it compared to the IS-3 or the IS-4M which sucks as it's fun smacking Panthers in the hull and penning them with ease. but at 6.7? nah. not worth it

It's a good tank, too bad i had to suffer with the 203mm pen aphe rather than the 230mm one when i was grinding it It just suffers from uptiers to absolute death now because god forbid the up tier margin be 0.3/0.4 Other than that and the reload speed it's cool

I really do enjoy this tank (wish it stayed at 6.3) I just hate the reload. IT should have at least a 17-18 sec reload like it did historically with the best crews. Although I think for it to stay at 6.7 it should at least have the is6 reload time. Just to make it a bit more competitive.

When spading China i had to play tanks i avoided in the USSR. So i played the IS-2's for the first time and hated it, long reloads and poor gun handling makes me cringe even though i had 6.7kd in the IS-2. But it's 6.7kd in the base IS-2 vs 3.7kd in the 1944 version. Safe to say the 1944 is absolutely not worht the BR.

The IS 2 isnt bad but the Tiger 2 H got better armor the same pen and less than half the reload, the post pen damage isnt as high but you still one shot most of the time. And then there is the T34 with its great armor and pen also in the same Br... There are other 6.7 vehicles i would prefer to play, the IS 2's reload just ruins the tank for me. But then again its my aggressive play style that just doesn't fit the tank. Edit: and the volumetric bullsh1t that happens because of the large caliber followed up by the long reload makes me loose my mind sometimes

You do get access to the T44, it’s better than what the Germans have imo, but I never use the M41 because I just play 7.0 Panther 2. The Americans have the most OP lineup
