I'm so glad the parents in the first story actually listened to their kid. It seems like so often, parents just blow off their kid's intuition until something terrible happens.

thing is also, they kid didnt know why they started to not trust him, they just noticed something was wrong when the brother said something .and not even parents, adults in general usually dont listen to kids, which is wrong. your kid tells you they dont trust someone, even tho they dont know why, they just dont for whatever reason, you should trust your kids gut feelings. everyone should listen to their gut feelings. if you dont got one, and someone else does, especially a child, listen to them, they obviously notice something you didnt

@@rileystewart9927 Actually, if one of my kids (when young) said "I don't like him" or similar, I'd be much more observant of that person after that. Kids, especially some little ones, and animals, are very good indicators (usually, not always) of someone's underlying agenda. Regardless, I'd watch him/her.

Yes, my mother would think the same, as well as my dad. To kids and maybe even teens. My parents believe it has a more tainted meaning coming from an adult to a kid. As it does signify getting older. And I know they are right.

I kind of feel like it's them trying to plant a seed in the kid's mind that what's happening is okay - "you're mature, you're different, you get to be an *adult* with me" Not to mention that a lot of kids love feeling grown-up, so it's like the predator is trying to be that person that sees them differently, they teach them that being adult and mature is where your worth comes from, and then give them positive reenforcement, making them feel seen or understood in a way others don't. And I feel like kids/young people can very easily feel insecure - they'll want to go along with what the predator asks/pushes them to do, because they can't let go of that feeling that they're being "taken seriously" Just my 2 cents.

A normal person cannot be liked by EVERYONE, there will always be someone who dislikes them. This is 100% normal as people have different habits and behaviors from one another that don't always mix well. If someone is liked by EVERYONE I find it suspicious too because of this.

For the first one while reading the story, I suspected some creepy vibes from him. The man wants his kids' friends to stay over, also he said that the girl was "so mature" when she's literally 12- It is definitely odd on why he's overly interested to hang out with his kid's friends.....
@rileystewart9927
@rileystewart9927 2 жыл бұрын
yea after he got caught for assaulting someone, im pretty sure he was commenting about her body being mature. by 12 she probably hit puberty. no kid thinks twice about an adult calling them mature. but if he said that to a child, near another adult it would probably give off red flags, you dont call a child mature, cuz no child is mature. you use other words to describe a child being mature. i.e smart, wise etc

TW- When I was about six years old, I traveled with my mother and brothers in order to visit my grandmother's family in another country. Unfortunately, one of grandma's older brother started acting kind of creepy towards me, and mom saw through his intentions. She demanded that my brothers do their best to keep him away from me, and she expressed her concerns to her mom who completely dismissed it. Just a year later, mom finds out that said uncle ended up r*ping his younger brother’s 8 year old daughter. The bastard never went to jail, and he ended up dying from a medical condition when I was 15. But the sickest part is that my grandma never seemed to care about what he did and she highlights the fact that my aunt (The victim) is rude and not fond of her nowadays. I understand that my mom is disappointed with aunt’s attitude as well, but that does NOT give her the right to actually be like “ I am pretty sure she got over it (The incident) by now!” I appreciate the fact that my mom was brave enough to talk to my grandma all those years ago, but I can't really give her praise due to the fact that she has consistently expressed that statutory rape only concerned her if it would have involved any of her kids.

It’s so sad that when someone takes an interest in a child and encourages them to express themselves it’s immediately seen as suspicious because it is suspicious. It’s messed up because kids SHOULD be able to talk with adults, and not just their parents, but a variety of adults as they grow and learn about the world to broaden their perspectives and expand their minds. But people are just so gross and creepy. It’s so disheartening that you just can’t trust people to be good, even to children.

5:45 I made the mistake of listening to that line, biggest regret of my life. I know it feels good to get valued as a kid but for everyone listening, do not listen if an adult is singling you out and using this line on you. As much as you may feel you are mature, you are not. I wished someone had told me that, but I promise you, you're not and that's not a bad thing. Be a kid and don't feel as if you need to feel older than you are, especially if an adult is telling you that.

Second story. 😨😨😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Third story, I hate when people make excuses for abusive people. Fourth story, What. the. heck. Now, the woman is in the psych ward all from listening to the crazy woman. First story- There was a family who lived on my street when I was maybe 10yo (mom,dad and daughter my age). They had a family friend that was super close to family for years (he was girls godfather and dads bestmen at the wedding). Pretty much everyone thought he was great! Then one day some of neighbor kids saw her get in the car with him (which was nothing unusual, he would sometimes drive her to training if parents were busy), but she came back on foot shortly after, visibly distressed and in shock! She told her dad that he took her to the woods that was maybe 20min drive from her house and "touched her"! (I'm not sure if the rest of the story is true, but I heard it from adults) appareantly dad got pissed! He got into the car and ran the guy down (just enough to knock him of his feet) got out of the car and started beating the sh*t out of the guy! He went to jail for assult. That 'friend' also went to jail (after he got back from hospital). The family moved away shortly after.

6:39 That story is so eerie. I was almost drowned when I was 6, and I almost remember it like it was yesterday. It's very unlikely that this is the same person, because the man my mom suspects isn't behind bars, and she didn't understand what I was trying to tell her at the time because I simply did not have the words to explain. I know for a fact that he would've tried that same excuse though, and my fight for my life likely ended up saving me.

I can remember some of my colleagues were like this. Everyone seem to love them. They tell everyone what they wanted to hear. But the more I spend time with them the more toxic it became. I was being manipulated and lied to, believing they were my friends. I'm glad I no longer work there. There's something off with people who are liked by everyone and I don't get why they're so blind. I'd like to add, I've met some friends of my friend and they acted with hostility when they were with me. But really looked friendly when the mutual friend is there. I decided to keep it to myself. I just hope I don't meet them again.

(Just saying this happened a few days ago and I AM STILL PISSED OFF ABOUT IT) I (14 yr f) went to my little sisters birthday, honestly just for the cake, but it was at a place where I could go to and from there to home. Well I'm just sitting and chilling.. when these two adults come up to me.. I don't know these people but they start smiling and shaking my hand, saying stuff I can;t remember.. I got a weird feeling but kept on a smile as they revealed their daughter. this is what the mom said; "Oh! she didn't want to come but we told her (sister name) had an older sister!'' the girl sits down across from me and smacks her gum.. this is a 12 year old... I keep on a happy face and talk to her... but she was kind annoying and I still had a bad feeling, and after I got snacks and cake I left.. later that night, I came downstairs to discuss how weird this was to my mom... My mom seemed.. excited? and kept saying to my grandma (Grandparents were staying for a few days) 'See and she doesnt even know what I just told you!' I explained all the weird things the girl did.. and asked my mom what she meant. So apparently. that was the pastors daughter, she was adopted.. thats not the bad part.. the bad part was she had been in the mental hospital 10. times. for threatening to kill her family and hurt herself. APPARENTLY. JUST A FEW DAYS AGO. SHE GOT OUT OF THE MENTAL HOSPITAL. AND HERES WHAT IM PISSED OFF ABOUT- YOU'RE GONNA DROP THIS KID ON ME!? A TEENAGER??? WHILE YOU GO TALK TO YOUR ADULT FRIENDS?? NO. no. sorry! NO.

Mm yeah y'all needa trust your kids and trust your guts Heres a long story so buckle in. So. My dad got a new gf some years after his and my mom's divorce. He told me tons of great things about her and after a few months I eventually got to meet her. From the second I met her I didn't like her. I felt like she was rude, disrespectful, and I felt she was taking advantage of my dad. She always bought me things I didn't want nor need and though I told her many times she never listened. She always talked bad of my mother and just slandered her so much. Saying how she dressed us badly and we looked like bums. That she must not be a good mom and such. I told my mom everything she said about her and how she treated me and my brother. So both me and my mom had reasons not to like her now. Fast forward a few months or years later. She's taken my dad to court. My dad never put his hands on her or fought with her or gave her any reason to do what she did. So after the court stuff, fast forward about 2 more months. My dad's gf has basically gotten a restraining order against him. She now has almost every single one of his possessions. His house. Most of his vehicles, lots of his clothes, etc. And if he tried to go back to HIS OWN HOUSE that he bought to get them back, he'll get arrested. This is why of you just don't like someone or have a bad feeling about then when you meet them. Listen to it!. There's more to this and it's been going on for a while. I'm not naming names or going into more detail but yea👍

To anyone who sees this comment, if you get a bad feeling about someone, listen to it! I know someone who, before I met them, had a bad feeling about someone (the first time of this feeling) who later ended up hurting them. They got the same feeling about someone we both met together whose behavior was very unnerving (on the first impression they said and did things that made me and my friend feel uncomfortable and unsafe), I still don't trust that person or feel comfortable/safe around them to this day.

dont think he meant she was mature. more likely was talking about her body being mature. by 12 she probably hit puberty by then. seeing as he got in trouble for assaulting someone, thats my thoughts, he was making a comment about her body without making anyone notice he was doing so

Not attacking u or anything but the kid only laid out her concerns about the man Other parents just followed cuz they trusted her The man sexually assaulted a person who was unconscious and went to prison for that The kid literally just told her parents how she felt and that's it Man got arrested for his own wrongdoing, not what the kid said.
