Usually, especially in apartment blocks, a lone female will put out some men's shoes at the front door (where the custom is to remove your shoes before entering) and sometimes even have men's clothing on the line on the balcony...it's a good strategy as long as you change it up occasionally.

@@Kyutie. My MIL had a huge stuffed panda bear, one of her adult kids had won, stuck in a dark corner of her living room (it was seldom used area). Seated, it was about 6 foot high. Apparently the older brother brought some friends home one night to sleep after a big night out; they all tottered through and crashed in his room. Well, in the middle of the night they were all woken by a high pitched girly scream from one of the visitors: he'd been wandering looking for the toilet, saw this HUGE humanoid figure with glittery eyes in the corner, and practically wet himself.

0:06: This is one of those stories when you think you have it bad, and you find someone who has it worse. Also, some people's priorities are out of whack. 1:09: When you grow up in a home full of smokers (as I did), your olfactory system adjusts so you that don't notice the smell, which is why it was strange when you go to a house full of non-smokers; you're not quite used to that enviroment. 1:49: I never heard of this. It imagine it could get quite messy. On the other hand, eating them straight out of the freezer is quite awesome. 2:20: Some people have more money than they know what to do with. Hopefully, they were good people. 3:28: I look at it this way: This could make a very effective security system. Especially if one of them was holding a gun. 4:33: I guess they'll never be guilty of vanity. 5:25: Sounds like an episode of "Hoarders". Glad she got the help she needed. 5:57: This begs the questions: Where was the husband? Was there even a husband? Glad he broke it off. 6:41: Let people know you care. Even if you simply tell them, "You're awesome!" (You also never know; they could be here today, gone tomorrow...if you know what I mean.) 7:48: I'd just walk out. This is plain disgusting. Some people love their pets just way too much. 8:22: I grew up in a similar enviroment, and I wasn't allowed any sort of sugary anything (though I'd sneak it when my mom wasn't looking or I was away from home). 9:19: I'll bet the restaurants were happy with this family. Ordering take-out all the time, however, can get quite expensive.

so one time I (11 years of age) went to my friend's (11 years old) house and realized how big her house was. 2nd thing that was weird to me was that grandma's car smelt SOO good and I couldn't quite put my finger on why it was so different. after a while I started to realize that it smelt nice cause nobody living in her home smoked!!! I then realized that their dog was a bit aggressive the first few times I went over there which was so different than my old dog which is very chill and laid back. My friend also was allowed to yell at her grandparent and she was also very spoiled and got almost everything she wants. One time she spent money on amazon till her grandpa had 10 dollars in the bank account left, but the best part...THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING BUT TELL HER NOT TO LET IT HAPPEN AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also grew up in the 70s/80s. It was normal for ALL the adults to be smoking, everywhere. Holiday family gatherings with a house full of relatives all smoking. Air would be blue. Normal for everything to get a brown sticky residue. Brown dust, brown spiderwebs when cleaning, etc. Brown streaks on the bathroom walls from the shower moisture dissolving the tar. After moving out, when getting back home from a visit, I could tell me and all my clothes would smell. My sister's friends in HS though SHE smoked since her locker smelled from her coat being in there. You do get used to smells. Grew up on the farm and after a while cleaning manure out in the barn, your nose quits working, haha.

1:30 in the 50s 60s and 70s nearly everyone smoked. When I was growing up I only knew of maybe 4 adults who didn't smoke. My Junior High and High Schools each had student smoking areas, teacher smoking lounges, but smoking in a student bathroom would get you one period of detention, but was so common Alice Cooper had a hit about it. Even non-smokers kept ashtrays in their house for guests, and it was the mid 70s before I ever heard of someone asking someone to smoke outside instead of in the house; as so many people smoked it was considered ruder to ask someone to step outside than for them to light up inside even a nonsmoker's house. It was the 80s before people just started smoking outside; the mores had changed.

6:39 was looking to buy a house, realtor showed me into this one place; there were dirty clothes (or just clothes) strewn up and down the hallway, all over furniture, everywhere on the floor. Garbage bags in the kitchen, not tied off properly and spilling out contents. I was a bit shocked, then figured that maybe they were renters and were trying to put off the buyers? Realtor said "nope, this is what it always looks like". Woah. Gave it a wide berth. Goodness knows what else was in there. And went to visit a friend; hadn't seen her in a quite a while; she had two young kids now. There was nowhere to sit. Every chair had something on it, rubbish, old newspapers, the floor was a pit and a danger to anyone's health, let alone young kids, sink full of dishes. It looked like a hoarder's house in the making. Never went back. There wasn't a clean surface anywhere and I politely refused coffee lol. P.S. she worked full time too. So obviously I know with two young kids, working full time and a hubby who didn't know how to wash up were all stacked against her, but we're not talking some rubbish, we're talking every available surface. Apparently he didn't know to take the bins out either.

(Edit: You'll want to read more.) yeah, most dogs and cat owners know to not let pets on the counters or at least not where food is being prepped and if the pets plot a mutiny for right to hold the throne of counters/benches, you shoo the animals away and clean said counter/bench.

The ones where they don't have mirrors... it could be that: the house is haunted, they're vampires, different beliefs or something bad that reminds them of it (something eerie). 0.0 For the affectionate family, I'd probably bawled my eyes out because I never had those in mine.

I'm a student with very little money. For me ordering takeout instead of cooking frozen stuff is already a luxury I can barely afford. I recently moved in a house with 5 roommates so the rent would be cheaper. I was shocked to see them order takeout almost everyday if not at least 3-5 times a week. Three of them have to attend a wedding in a few months so the 2 girls decided to loose some weight and the guy followed their lead. They now have a once a week top takeout order rule. It still blows my mind how they can eat takeout every week

I don't think I could EVER go to someone's house if they had mannequins set up everywhere...I have really bad Nyctophobia (fear of the dark) which means that my brain sees things that aren't there..For example of how bad it is, in school we had a lockdown drill once. At that time, the lockdown safe space was a closet type room? Like a pantry. There were only two small square windows (maybe 6"x6") at the far ends of the room. The teacher turned all the lights off. I stood with 3 people to my left, 2 in front of me and everyone else stood a few feet away to my right. Throughout the lockdown, I saw people get closer/arms reaching out on my right (there wasn't any) and following, I felt tingles or light taps along my right bicep down to my forearm. Then after, I felt a single poke on my left but didn't see anyone fixing their position. I looked straight in front of me and saw a screaming face and arms outstretched towards me.. the item that the arms and face belonged to? A paper towel holder. I closed my eyes and broke down crying right then and there..One of the worst days ever. So going to someone's house with mannequins set up everywhere? I'd probably have a full on panic attack and be like "yeah, no, I'm done..see you tomorrow but please - at my house."

Yes, it is odd, but also to someone who doesn't care what people think of them, why would they need dozens of mirros in their house? Just to look in it to feed their nonexistant vanity? pfft, no thanks.
