I'm thrilled that he mentioned October Sky. I have many family connections to Bartley, Coalwood and War WV - my aunt and late uncle attended Big Creek with the Rocket Boys (one of whom, the inspiration for Odell, was a pallbearer for my uncle), while the four-year college roommate of the real-life Miss Freida Riley just happened to be my late mother. To say that I'm biased is the understatement of the year if not decade. :)
