I owned a pitbull for 12 years. No matter what, I always muzzled him when we went outside. I never ‘trusted’ my dog. He was a very good boy, but I’ve also seen him in a mood too. I’m so tired of hearing about irresponsible pitbull owners. Edit: I also never let him off leash & in that 12 years, I had only 1 incident with another dog. I took Zeus out to pee & he saw another dog walking by. I had to jump on him & put him in a chokehold. The bulldog that went by was never attacked. But it was still scary.

Pit bulls are honestly such a liability. I don’t think they’re bad dogs inherently (they’re animals) but it seems like their instinct to kill/attack is higher than in other dog breeds and they have much more muscle to do the damage. So it unfortunately turns out fatal much more often.
@shannontrent37022 жыл бұрын
They aren't with the right owners. And if you look at the research, they aren't even the top 3 most aggressive breed.
@elvickRULES2 жыл бұрын
@@shannontrent3702 yeah it was definitely “aggression” that killed this dog. Very relevant factoid. Aggression in a mouse and aggression in a lion. I wonder if that would manifest differently… In fact chihuahuas are often aggressive. They can however be punted to the moon. A pitbull however when it attacks a person it locks on and will withstand being beaten to keep latched onto its prey. But sure, aggression. That’s what’s important. Not attacks or kill count. Which Pitbulls are the winners of, by a large margin! People who defend this breed are always so dishonest. Or think a cute picture of a pitbull with a bow, flower or baby magically undoes the pitbulls nature. They were bred to be this way. They’re not cute nannies. That’s why they tear up kids’ faces or maul grandma to death. They’re oh so cute until they aren’t. Then they crowd shelters because nobody wants to deal. Yet backyard breeders keep making more of these and mixing them with more breeds to ruin them too. Quite fascinating that a breed that isn’t as aggressive as others manages to out kill and out attack the more aggressive breeds. Fascinating indeed.

Yorkies may not be aggressive, but they are known to bark a lot and other animals (as well as people) often get irritated by their almost constant yapping, which can lead others to react violently. If the dog was killed where she indicated, then it was not on her ex-husband's property, but on the property of the neighbor. If it had been on his property, it would have been behind the fence.
@jacklow96112 жыл бұрын
@Chris Moranchel: That's just it. The dead dog was found on the ex-husband's next-door neighbor's property, not the owner of the Pitbull's, who lived across the street. It wasn't a human who attacked and killed the dog, so what does that have to do with anything? Sometimes a small dog will get aggressive with another dog for some reason, so no one really knows what led to the dogs fighting in the first place, since nobody witnessed the initial contact between the two. While Yorkies are not usually aggressive with people, their interactions with other dogs can be an entirely different matter, and Yorkies ARE actually terriers, which can become aggressive without notice.

This defendant should've taken up on the plaintiff's offer to find another dog instead of paying the money.

The Real Story: As someone who knows the lady, after talking to her, she believed manipulating the story would help her case, I disagree so here's the truth: While the dog does get let loose to roam the area, in this occasion it was not. The dog was contained in the backyard, the entrance/exit of which you can see at 6:41. The Yorkie in this instance had escaped from the backyard. It had previously done this a couple times before and the area had stone blocks and multiple nails on the fence but the lil thing was pretty persistent. Back to what happened, the yorkie only went about 5ft before the pitbull got hold of the yorkie and the rest of the story, if I recall correctly, is true. Also the lady is happy now with a new pup. Edit: accidentally named the lady the defendant which caused some confusion.

didnt the dude say his dog might've jumped or dug under the fence tho? That right there could've prevented all of this too...yk most people train their dogs to not dig under fences or stuff like that

The defendant shouldn't have dogs. Could be a child next time in the front yard of their own house. He should be ashamed. The judge was too easy on him.

Whoops, sorry guys think I threw you off. Accidentally said "defendant" in my paragraph above when I was actually talking about the lady.

I don’t think the dog escaping the yard would have changed anything either way. The judge would have told them it’s their responsibility to fix their fencing. I think the ruling would have been the same.

both dogs were unleashed but if the yorkie was on its own property than i dont think thats against the law. your dog is allowed to be offleash on your OWN property... if it ventures out onto someone ELSES propety that is where the issue wolud be. most people dont have enough control and training via completely voice-recall to have their dog offleash even on own property but it CAN be done and some dogs have perfect recall and are trained to stay within the boundary of their own yard while offleash.
@elvickRULES2 жыл бұрын
No you’re supposed to have your dog under your control. The dog wasn’t even with a person, it was unattended, roaming around on its own.

Can someone explain to me why dogs are seen as property to the law but you can also get charged & go to jail for animal cruelty? Totally agree with going to jail for that but not treating them as property.

I feel so terrible for Buddy's Human mama. It is so sad losing your furbaby no matter what but unexpectedly and so violently is even worse. Pet parents have a special heart....NOT saying parents heart is not so don't come for me.

How lightly he looks to be taking this is disgusting and I’m sure hurtful to the plaintiff. If you own those dogs you NEED to keep them properly secured! Some owners don’t give a rats rump about anyone else’s safety and act nonchalantly about them! SMDH

My two dogs are my "boys". They eat when I eat, they sleep where I sleep. God and my dogs are the ones who get me through the tough times. I understand how someone can cry over their animal as I cried when my pit/boxer mix passes away a year ago. They young man is representative of a lot of young people I see these days. They are very self centered and have empathy for no one. KARMA is a bitch and his time will come. I hope the lady in this case is ok now. My heart goes out to her. 🙏

It IS odd for someone to say no don't pay cremation go on craigslist & buy me any dog.. that's WEIRD. I probably would have walked away at that point too. Plaintiff is also pretty talented to start crying for over 3 min without tears, that's a good one.

Of course birds of the same feather flock together. Are you typing your message from the socio's bedroom or kitchen? Do your type have any hearts at all or did the spaceship also get so tired of you that they dropped you and your cold buddy "Socio" from the spaceship and never want you back where you came from. Hopefully, in time you and Socio will grow some hearts.

I've had my first born child (yes she is my fur baby) since she was four months old...she is now over 14... She is a crazy little physco cat... But my life wouldn't be the same without walking into the kitchen at five am to get coffee and being greeted by the most annoying high pitch meow because her food bowl is under half... ❤❤❤

My heart 💜 goes out to that poor lady 🥲 as for the defendant he was Cold didn’t give a toss especially in that photo continue to have Pitt bulls lose. Can you imagine coming home with ur small kids to a pair of big dogs on ur front yard no one around to help. 🙈
@portlandgirlx0x0962 жыл бұрын
Next time it will be a child playing in their own front yard. Momma will have her back turned for a second & that's when child gets mauled. Defendant knows his dog has the propensity to kill but "oh well" "too bad 4 u" & still acts irresponsible.

Your freakn' pit bull is OFF LEASH in the neighborhood AFTER they had already killed a dog in that neighborhood?!!!!! What a dam jerk who should NEVER be allowed to own a dog again!!!!!! Another one of those people who say "No no no they are so sweet and loving"....which of course most dog typically are....UNTIL the 1 or 2 times they are NOT!!!!

Wow im soo sad for buddy. I have neighbors like this that just let their dog roam the neighborhood so that they dont have to worry about actually responsibility. Both defendant and plaintiffs only care about themselves. Wow just wow. Poor buddy alone, it probably ran to its house, scared, no one opens the door and it dies. How sad. No excuse to have your dog off a leash idk if its “trained” or a small puppy. ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN!!!
