The guy didn't bring proof of the dumpster cost. All he had to do was get a quote... And she awarded him the $500. I work for a remodeling company and we rent 10yd dumpsters for under $500. Which should be enough to fit her junk in. Also, PalmTree, the judge doesn't yell if they don't call her "judge". She yells when they call her "miss". She gives them multiple respectable options on what to call her. And just because she has experience doing contracting does not mean she can eye ball exactly how much junk there is in that garage, what size dumpster is needed, and how much a dumpster costs in their particular area. It isn't her job to guess. The plaintiff needed to bring a quote.

She did do rough justice and awarded the $500. He can fit that junk in a 10 yard dumpster. Which is under $500. She asked him what the labor quote was, and he said, "I planned on doing it myself" He easily could've had a cleanup quote the removal & disposal costs and she would've awarded that to him. He came to court with NOTHING, asked for $500 and got $500. I'd say that's successful right justice 🤷🏼‍♀️
