People drive too fast and think they own the road. Always makes for crazy accidents
@55VickyV Жыл бұрын
There was also a car (maybe an SUV) involved in the accident. They took it away on a rollback. Perhaps it changed lanes too close to the front of the truck. People don’t realize that it takes longer for a semi to stop than it does a car.

As a retired operator of 20 years it never ceased to amaze me when we needed a lane to work so that we'd be safe in doing our job the CHP wanted the lanes open and they wanted them open right now so you better move your ass and do it but if a CHP officer break a fingernail on the freeway during a traffic stop they'll shut the whole damn freeway down for hours while they do their investigation that's how it's done in SoCal

I have watched several of your videos (and several by another tow truck company - Ron Pratt) and I am amazed with the power of your trucks. Also I notice both you and Ron are careful and thorough when recovering heavy trucks. In particular you both often have tricky and difficult situations to deal with but always come up with a plan to ensure the job gets done safely. In particular just before this video I watched another one of yours titled "Insane Tractor-Trailer Rollover UNDER a Bridge". When I saw that truck on its side under a bridge with such low clearance my first thought was you would have to drag the truck out from under the bridge before uprighting it - and I was right. But I was surprised at one part of this video; you dragged the truck over to allow traffic to pass on BOTH sides of the vehicle during recovery (because the police wanted you to get another lane open ASAP). I thought you would need the extra space on one side to upright the truck but you managed to get it done in the very limited space left after the second lane was opened with no danger to the passing traffic. Well done.

In Canada, when something like this happens, its usually because there's been 2 feet of snowfall in the last 12 hours. Those kinds of events often do shut down highways for 10 hours because access is just so difficult under those kinds of conditions. We're pretty good at clearing snow, but there's a limit to everything. Our plows can't be clearing the same spot every 15 minutes. Peoples are generally much more careful when there's a lot of snow falling, but peoples just honestly need to stay home on those 2 or 3 days of the year when things get totally crazy.
