Shoot Lisa! I watched this one day too late! I cut my trees and squashed them on the table side...😆. I also got to use my drippy scraper yesterday for my "Jan soap" - I love it! 🤩 I really like how this soap turned out for you - the snowflakes on the top really brought it all together.

Gorgeous, as usual! I'm quite intrigued by the idea of a mold that comes apart. I've never used one like that, but it makes sense for your intricate patterns. Non-soap question: I have noticed that you use a phrase that my mum used to, "As I say." I wondered if that is specific to a particular part of G.B, because I don't hear it often from Americans.

Hi Lisa! I love natural colours, and this blue is gorgeous. Just curious about why you blended the soap shreds into the batter, was that a purely aesthetic decision? I thought it would have looked lovely with the larger shreds, and was so surprised when you blended them. It looks beautiful, your soaps always are!
@alisonhenry82011 ай бұрын
I stopped the video to ask my question, and upon continuing I see you're using a scraper. Is that why you blended the soap shreds, because in larger pieces it would have been a nightmare to scrape?
@IDreamInSoap10 ай бұрын
I think it's just a personal choice, I'm not so keen on larger shred, I like them smaller, but you are quite correct, getting the drips to scrape would have been very difficult with longer shreds

Another great soap I love how you explain the assessment in your country I think here in America we should have the same assessments because I do the same with myself I don't put all that nasty crap Americans do. I love your videos they are informative they help me make a better soap for myself more than all of my friends and family

Bonjour Lisa.

Love it! Blue is my fave colour and this falls right into my wheelhouse! It’s odd that peppermint does seem the right scent for a blue Christmas soap. Somehow I knew that was what it should be from just the picture. It’s such an art getting the right smell for a soap I suspect!

I left a comment a few hours ago and I see that it has been removed. Did you remove it or was it KZbin? I only wanted to know where you buy your indigo powder from... Anyway, your soap is really lovely - as usual!
@IDreamInSoap11 ай бұрын
Ooh, well that's odd, no I didn't remove it. Mind you, I find that happens to me too, when I leave comments sometimes they just disappear, especially if they're quite long. My Indigo is from the Soap Kitchen, but I think they're out of stock at the moment

If you have the indigo too strong in the soap can it turn your skin blue or does the soap process set the colour so it doesn't stain?
@IDreamInSoap11 ай бұрын
You certainly could have problems with indigo causing staining if you used too much, so it's essential to know what you're doing. My indigo soaps don't stain and give a nice white lather with no traces of blue

Hey Teresa, I do put quite a bit in, I think it seems to be OK as mine is always fresh, so it blends in a sticks really well, I think it would be more difficult if you use old soaps or scraps.
