Bluestar was the first big character we had that constantly bashed on starclan with good and just reasoning. She had every reason to turn her back on starclan, they took everything from her. Her kids, her happiness, her sanity, everyone she could ever trust betrayed her on way or another. Kinda sad she went through all that, and still forgave straclan in her last breaths. They didn't deserve her forgiveness

@@greylee26 yes he did but if we look back on Bluestars Prophecy we can see -After Moonflowers death (her mum) everyone moved on and she felt like they forgot she ever existed -She had to follow a prophecy to make her leader and save her clan which meant she had to give up her mate and kits which resulted in mosskit dying -she literally saw snowfur die right in front her And other things were -Tigerclaw/star betrayed her and since a lot of the warriors looked up to him she thought they would betray her too -A fire literally destroyed the camp and she thought starclan was punishing her for being the best leader she can even though starclan made her give up everything to become leader -The dogs

I noticed that when Bluestar shouts or gets angry the lines of her drawing get all twisted and spiky and that's a thing I didn't notice immediately but I could feel her anger just by looking at her and that made me love your art style so much. Every line of the drawing carries so much emotion that I simply have no words for it, it's just soooo good. Another example is firepaw/hearth, when he is young and excited to learn from Bluestar his lines are soft and round when he helps Bluestar his lines are straight and boxier showing his concern about helping her and it stays like that for most of the time he's near Bluestar because what happened to her showing that he was unease to speak to her.

1:52 , BlueStar skidded to a halt at the top of the slope; the stench of dogs hit her throat. Below, the ferns shook as the dark shapes swarmed through the gully. FireHeart’s orange pelt flashed like flame through the greenery. He was keeping a good pace between himself and the pack, but the lead dog was breaking away and closing fast on the ThunderClan deputy. No! Not that one! You cannot use him as prey! BlueStar flung herself down the slope. Gulping air, muscles burning, she weaved around the trees, her paws skidding on the leafy forest floor. She hurtled through a swath of ferns, running blind as the leaves whipped her face. The gorge was close by. She could hear the river crashing between the sheer gray walls. Would FireHeart really be able to lure the dog pack over the edge? What if the packs leader caught him first? She erupted from the bracken and scrabbled to a stop in a clearing at the edge of the cliff. Leaves sprayed into the chasm as her paws slipped and slid Oh StarClan, no! FireHeart was dangling from the glistening jaws of a huge dog. The ThunderClan deputy struggled, spitting with fury. The dog shook him, it’s eyes glittering with triumph, but it’s clumsy paws were skittering dangerously close to the edge of the gorge. “I will not let you destroy my Clan!” BlueStar roared. She flung herself at FireHearts tormentor, slamming headfirst into its flank. The dog dropped FireHeart and spun around in surprise. BlueStar crouched and unsheathed her claws. Blood roared in her ears but she felt no fear. She had not felt this alive for moons. She lashed out at the dogs muzzle, but her claws raked empty air. The dog was sliding away from her! The ground beneath its hind legs was crumbling. Shards of stone showered down the steep face of the gorge as the dogs paws scrabbled to get a grip, but it’s blunt claws were slithering on the leaf-strewn forest floor as it’s haunches dragged its hind legs backward over the cliff. The pack thundered closer. “BlueStar!” FireHeart warned But BlueStar didn’t take her eyes from the pack leader. She was locked in its panicked gaze as dogs began to crash through the bracken behind her. The pack was upon them. BlueStar dug her claws into the swift earth as the air suddenly soured with fear. The lunging dogs has seen the gorge, and their howls turned to yelps as they skidded at its edge. BlueStar held her ground as a desperate yowl echoed down the chasm, the first dog had fallen. It’s body thumped against the cliff, and there was a moment of quiet before she heard it splash into the roaring water below. BlueStar narrowed her eyes, still fixed on the pack leader. “You should have never threatened ThunderClan!” She hissed. Suddenly the dog stretched its head forward and grasped her foreleg in its jaws. She felt the ground slide beneath her as the dog dragged her with it over the edge. Wind roared around her, blasting her pelt as she fell. The river swirled and foamed below. She scrabbled desperately against the cold wet air and struggled of the dog just a moment before she hit the water.

This part broke me when I read BlueStars Prophecy. One of my favorite quotes from that book was in the epilogue. “No, not that one! You can’t use him as prey!” And how it says she had not felt so alive in moons. I love BlueStar. He has such a tragic past, and she had recovered from it. But it had not lasted long until that wretched TigerStar came. I also loved ThrushPelt, he would have been an amazing father. I wish he could’ve met FireStar, but Greencough claimed him first. Anywho, sorry for the long reply, just needed to let this out lol.

When Bluestar started being depressed and unmotivated I was so sure that she'd get better. When she didn't and she died, I actually lost motivation to read the books for like 2 weeks. Rip bluestar ❤

1:02 Holy s**t. Brilliant. That's a connection I never drew in a million years. To everyone else, think about it. Bluestar has WindClan-related trauma going back to when she was a kit. While that doesn't get shown here, it fits the theme of this video to a T. Her blaming WindClan for the theft- it was that trauma coming back as her mental state began to degrade, dredging up old memories that were no longer relevant to the present day! Phenomenal!

Honestly this is one of the most refreshing and raw takes of Bluestar's story I've seen in a long time. Shows every beat of her arc for better or for worse, in a brutally exposing way. I also love that you just so eloquently and succinctly implied that Thistleclaw's shadow loomed over her for a long time, it's honestly terrible all of the things she never was able to get over. Your art is fun and dynamic, the editing is snappy and perfectly timed without being overly-much. I just love this, and honestly I got a bit misty eyed at the end. Again, thanks for making this. I know I'll be coming back to this one frequently to rewatch. Please, keep making art!!!

People act like she’s crazy and horrible, although in reality she’s very obviously mentally ill and just needed help, but no character saw that. Blue’Star is a well written character, and is one of my favorite leaders, I hate it so much when people get angry that she was a living character with emotions.

Oh my gosh this animation was put together so well. The way that every character reacts, the gradual build up of Bluestar's frustrations and feeling that Star Clan had abandoned her. The transitions, the usage of blue lineart on all of the characters and outlining the borders of scenes that are negative in Bluestar's eyes. And the beautiful transition of Bluestar replacing Firestar diving into the waters, serving as a symbolism of the sudden fading of all of Bluestar's frustrations and denial of all of the good things that happened in her life despite the bad, ending with reuniting with those she loved and who they loved back. Just... breathtaking...

Ugh, looking back on that, I don't understand how Bluestar saw no evil in Tigerclaw. Like: Strong, loves to kill, suspected of murder. No problem, maybe you're like me: sees nothing if I'm told about it. Anyways, that's not the point. And yes, Bluestar was brave. She really adored Tigerclaw as her deputy, and trusted him; so much that when he betrayed her she got seriously depressed. She even, in the book "A Dangerous Path", forgot that Cinderpelt and Brackenfur had gotten their warrior/medicine cat names! As Fireheart was telling her that the "older apprentices" seemed to be ready for their warrior ceremony, Bluestar thought the "older warriors" were Cinderpaw and Brackenpaw! Cinderpaw was already Cinderpelt, as a full-blown medicine cat, and Brackenfur's a warrior! Something was different about Bluestar since Tigerclaw left. To be honest, she overreacted when Tigerclaw's true treacherous self was unveiled when he tried to murder her. Like, he's a strong cat, sure, I get that, but you don't have to get all worked up over some bloodthirsty idiot anyways. (No offence to the "Bluestar bodyguards". My nickname for the ones who act like kits trying to protect Bluestar!) Alright, I'm no hater, don't get on with me! I'm a fan, like (most of) you. Man, that leader's acting like an apprentice who just started training and is trying to learn everything at once! But the opposite!! Okay, anyways, It's 11:08 PM and I don't wanna leave this essay-comment here so... whatever.

(Sorry if I say stuff wrong I haven’t read the books in awhile) Honestly, This has to be one of my favorite warrior cats PMVs, Not because of the amazing editing and art style, dynamic and perspectives. But just because the emotion and how you showed what Bluestar has been through. She’s been through so much and watch so many clan mates and loved ones die, And I can understand how she would turn pretty cold. Some people draw or say Bluestar is a bad leader, But she was just depressed was dealing with a lot of trauma. Yes she made mistakes. No, She wasn’t a perfect leader. But she lost her mother, Sister, Kit, Mate, good Friend( Thrushpelt who was killed by Stonefur) Three deputies, Clan mates, two of her medicine cats, has Been betrayed. More clan mates, And more. I love how her death was written because she was able to say sorry, and say goodbye to her kits who grown to be strong warriors. And she was able to see all her loved ones. Okay, Enough with the analyzing and the art and editing. The editing is out standing, It reminded me of some comic book theme and I love that! Also the expressions and design for each cat and character were amazing, You can tell this masterpiece was made with love and care! Wow I love this, I think bluestar is definitely a really complex character and you showed her losing control of her clan and herself really well. I have ALWAYS loved Bluestar. Since before I even read the series, and before I even knew much about her. I even made a presentation about her in class. I loved how the paranoia and depression, and anxiety was portrayed in such a complex character. I related to the father issues and the trust issues. (Still do.) Her relationship with Fireheart, it was a parent to child relationship that she only had for a moon with her own kits, she basicly never had with storm tail, and never had much time with Moonflower. I was in tears when she died, even though I knew how, and when it happened, her death hit like a train for me. The Pmv is brilliant and beautiful, I love how she was portrayed in this swell!👏👏

Thank you for this because i don’t think many people understand all the trauma that she went through, living under a prophecy, everyone dying, her having to put away her kits for her clan, and everyone misunderstanding her when and thinking she was crazy and paranoid after tigerclaw attacked her. i am pretty new to this channel, as in, just found this channel, and i am really enlightened to have found it, and i just want to say, i love this a lot, (ignoring the musicians bad reputation, i know more than likely of course don't support any if it at all of course, i wouldn't really give any attention to the music from all of them though as it still counts as support by youtube systems and all that) first off, the style, i adore it so much, the small line work pairing with the base colors with no gigantic shading factors amongst the cats makes it look simple yet works really well like the lineart and the fur motion and for more sporadically woven expressions, the larger detail is put into the backgrounds with the coloring, speaking of backgrounds you made the backgrounds with gorgeous spectors, the water splashing, just, awhshsxbxb, the details with all the fire, and don't get me started on the way you drew the blood, it isn't too coiling in rivers of it, you were did really well with splatters, and for brightpaw the amount is just right, mmm chefs kiss next is the approach to the story telling factor in more minutes that you managed to conjure, the quick flashes of memories and the immediate emotion changes, a big thing i enjoyed was, the fact of when staring fireheart down, you can see where she was even suspicious of this literal child, sure anger counts but, all the suspicions towards star clan isn't the only factor bluestar had, some people don't understand just how frenzied this women was and you ended up doing really well meshing everything together to show it all off in total, i hope to support your works in the future from this point on and feel glad to have layed my eyes on such art (i also deeply apologize for such a long comment!)
