When we had these, we would crush up the oatmeal cookie and put it into the cobbler. We would also heat up the cobbler a bit with the pizza. It's alot better lukewarm with the cookie crumble.
@TheHated0ne Жыл бұрын
Next time you try this MRE warm the cobbler up in the same frh (they both fit in the pouch perfectly) because it tastes way better when it's hot. Also combine the coffee, the creamer, the chocolate proteine powder and dip the oatmeal cookie in that delicious mixture. And save some of that jalapeno dip to put on the pizza because it improves it

great videos! Today's MREs are a huge improvement from back in the 80s/90s. I was in the US Army Infantry in 1991 and heaters were handed out separately and not included in the mre package. You were lucky to actually get your hands on a heater. I served in Korea and during field training exercises (FTX) in the fall/winter/early spring, you would have the mre (along w/ your M16) in your sleeping bag while you slept to keep it thawed out or you would have to figure out how to eat the frozen solid entree the next day. Many of us would trade our MREs to the old Korean lady with the soup tent for a hot bowl of ramen soup w/ slice of melted velveeta cheese. She always knew exactly the time ,place and training schedule! Keep up the great reviews!!!

Travis, you don't have to worry about me listening to detractors. My wife and I built and owned and operated a very successful business for over 34 years. During that time we had all kinds of detractors telling us what we could or should do and what we couldn't or shouldn't do. We just put blinders on and kept doing what we thought was right. This is a fun gig for me. No one or their comments will change that. As Ace and Micah say, "Haters gonna hate." That's their problem. Happiness is between the ears. I appreciate you watching the video, by the way!

Lol, I definitely went "nooo" when you opened the pizza before heating. But, no worries, it's not any better when it's hot. The cheese won't melt, by design, at even 500° so your not missing out on that. Just an FYI. TFF means Trans fat free. Another fun vid, TY.

I was getting out when MRE pizza was getting issued. I always crumbled the cookie and crackers into the cobbler with sugar in the canteen cup and it tasted like pie, and drink the chocolate, it was pretty good, then I’d save the pizza if I was still hungry for on the move cuz I’d let it heat in my cargo pocket and by time it was done I’d be kinda hungry again. This was my favorite after the buffalo chicken. Buffalo chicken was the best. 3rd is maple sausage patty

The LAW of MRE's clearly states to add coffee and creamer to the chocolate powder (with water of course). And if you saved one from before to add warm peanut butter to a cookie crushed in the pouch. Those two things ALONE made many a fine breakfast. Eat the rest out of your pockets during the hike. Another fine dining option was to add peanut butter to one of the chocolate "energy bars" after it was warmed up and melted. After eating the same mre's over and over it did not take long to invent the "MRE Chef".

Man they have all sorts of MREs out now. When I was in, we had the same MREs, but they were like the type of wholesome food you'd have for dinner at home like pot roast or chicken noodle, chili Mac, beef stew, etc. Towards the end of my enlistment I started seeing these new meals come out and to me it's little kid food/junk food like buffalo chicken nuggets and pepperoni pizza... Although, there was a kinda "upscale" one that surprised me; the chicken pesto meal. It was pretty good and something in pesto sauce would be the last thing if expect an MRE to have. Also, they took away the Tabasco!! Again, towards the end of my enlistment, we started seeing that MREs were not including the tiny bottle of tobasco! A lot of guys got mad about that (including me) because there are some who put it on everything and it makes a difference!
