Hello and thank you for watching my video today. It's been a while since my last upload which I make no apologies for, but I thank you again for sticking with me and waiting for this video. Work, illness and a family holiday has kept me off the bank but I'm hopefully going to put some time in over the next few weeks.
In this video I'm back chasing big perch as I often do at this time of year when the rivers close but the carping hasn't quite kicked off yet.

Got to be worth a try Bruce, such a surprise when a big perch comes up I love it. Don't forget the prawns too!

Nice one Dan. Have you been on the canal lately? I've had some nice perch out on the dropshot, best was 2lb 4 oz, that was weighed. Nothing on the pit though, think the pike have other things on there minds!

Ah funnily enough I did a few hours jigging the other day and only got 1 pike. No sign of anything else it was really dead. Glad to hear you caught because it worried me how few fish I caught. Soon be time for me to carp fish on the big pit can't wait

Hey Dan, good to see you out & about again. I've not been out for a while either, life getting in the way of things at the mo, also the weather is improving hopefully I'll get some fishing in 🎣 The first part made me feel cold 🥶 cracking perch, that looks like a nice venue & comfortable to fish, I always like to tuck myself away, but always end up with the lake idiot setting up next to me!

Hi Rich yeah I've struggled to get out too with work, illness and family life but hopefully I'll get out soon just in time for spring to kick off. I always get some loud mouth next to me casting everywhere even though they could walk 100 yards and get a whole lake to themselves but hey ho thats commercial life and at least they're out enjoying it

Good morning Dan … hope you and the family are all ok …. Sunday morning perch fishing fix bring it on !! Looked a tad chilly on your first trip, but at least you give it a bash. Plenty of action on your second trip and what a difference a few degrees can make in water temperature…. Some nice fish and a lovely perch so well done. Thanks John all good here hope things are good with you. I should of known with all the snow melt that first trip would be a blank considering the lake is stream fed but definitely made up for it on the second trip. I reckon I'd have caught more if I could of got back in my first swim but nevermind. Well funnily enough I went out for a couple hours jigging this week but unfortunately it was dead just one pike and I didn't see anything either. I'll try again soon

@@dangoesoutdoors897 morning buddy, I’m glad to hear from you. Glad to hear everything is alright. All good at this end and I just need to get out and do a bit more fishing. Just been busy with work and kids at the moment. Lighter nights should help a little bit though . Yeah, I’ve noticed that when we’ve had a really cold snap and the snow melt, go straight into the Rivers and ponds it’s a killer. But still doesn’t stop us going to give it a try because you never know. Anyway shall we didn’t do too well on yourJigging mission but at least you didn’t blank. Can’t wait to get back down on the canal as well. I sometimes go on that same stretch you have fit in some of your past videos when you took the little one down in the pram. Nice little spot that. it’s about just over an hour from my house. Anyway, all the best and look forward to the next video.👍👍🎣😁
