I believe "pateras" is a plural form. Greek alters its words depending on how they are used in a sentence. "patros" does in fact mean "father" in Greek. "pater" is the base word though. "patros" I believe is a genitive form (often used as a possessive) so it would be like adding an " 's " in English as in "father's car"

Just to complement the previous comment: πατρός (patros) is the genitive singular of πατήρ (pater), which, in Ancient Greek, means “father” (in the scene, they are speaking in Ancient Greek, not Modern Greek - honestly, no idea how is “father” in modern Greek lol). In this case, it is genitive because of the preposition περί (peri). In the dialogue, Poseidon asks: τὶς ἄλλος οἶδε *περὶ τοῦ πατρός*; (who else knows about [our] father?)

In modern greek we use pateras (πατέρας) as well, althought it is kinda more formal. When talking to our father we refer to them as μπαμπά (baba).
