My dad bought a Charolais from a farm sale. They had been tranqualised and it chased him when he went to pick it up. Wouldn’t have it on the family farm so took it straight to market. Couldn’t get any money back as he had taken it to market. Hope nobody including the public has to go in a field with him. I would be concerned he gets protective of his group or decides he’s going walkies. Fingers crossed for you that it turns out ok.

Great video Crawford. Thank you for explaining the plan with the bulls and I didn’t know that about age and how many they can serve at that age. It was so great seeing Percy running around he looks a brilliant bull. Hope Euro calms down a wee bit. Must admit I do laugh at your dog loves winding up all the cows. Hope your ankle is okay

Never trust a bull and sometimes the quieter ones are the ones that catch you out, always treat them with the utmost respect. 👍

Sorry to hear about your ankle Crawford hope it gets better soon, and I agree with you I wouldn't want to work on my own with Euro either he just seems so twitchy which for an Angus is very odd, the best bull I ever worked with was on a dairy farm many years ago he was a Hereford named Jason, he was as calm as your Percy bull, the worst was a Charolais on a Arable/Beef farm I worked on a couple of years ago, he was in a mixed herd of Charolais Limousines and Blonde d' Aquitaine's and he was the only one that would be a bit sketchy around humans the others were fine.

Hope you've had the frozen peas on your ankle Crawford, plenty of tractor work to keep your leg up. Keep yer distance from Euro. 🤞 for a speedy recovery

Watch your back with that Euro chap, you have to be lucky all the time he only needs to be lucky once to nail you, is it worth the risk having a risky bull on farm, he is not typical Angus temperament they are generally fairly quiet.

When it comes to Euro, something that sounds good in the intention, but just big and don't have the head working right.... Then it's up to you if I'm talking about the Union, the Bull, or both. Speedy recovery on the foot, maybe bring a wheelchair for the event so you don't overdo yourself there and then forced to spend more days recovering.

Were you playing football against Euro? Ankle looks a bit nasty and not easy to rest up on a farm. Too many accidents on farms so your right to approach Euro with caution as he has that look in his eye. Got to give him a chance but if the gut feel is that he is dangerous then he is better down the road as not worth the risk.

Oh dear Crawford your poor ankle. Now don’t be a “bloke” about it and get it looked at by a professional and treated/strapped whatever it needs. Nobody will call you names for looking after your body. As an old lady carrying lots of issues from my youth I’m telling you, you will feel it when your old so make sure and take care of yourself now. And that bull Euro😱 OMG I was shaking in my boots just watching the tv!! Trust your instincts mate!! I just watched a KZbin video of a cattle and sheep farmer in the uk who was severely trampled by his own cow (normally nice and calm) that had just calved. If he’d been alone when she went for him, he would have died for sure. Several spinal fractures later he’s alive to tell the story. That beast of a bull looks like he’d not think twice about giving you a right thumping. So please be safe, have someone else with you when dealing with him. And if you have to Medicate him (I’m not in farming nor the UK so not sure what’s appropriate) then do so. Safer for you and him in the long run. Get well soon. Love your videos and the glimpse you give us into farming in Scotland. Hugs Deb from Brisbane Australia
