It is perfectly legal to use a snare to catch a raptor if you have a falconry license, however, this was done irresponsibly and inhumanely. A nesting bird should not be taken, and a snare/trap should be monitored so the bird can be freed and calmed immediately after it is taken.

Do solicitors with shooting interests represent the defendants in these cases? Shouldn’t these solicitors recuse themselves from such cases? Check LinkedIn - it’s quite revealing...

Given that this court case failed despite this evidence is just sickening but we must not give up the fight. Why isn't the estate named we all know which it is? The fact that there are essentially no successful Peregrine nests on any privately owned grouse moors yet plenty of traditional peregrine nest sites on them means that this sort of thing cannot be considered to be anything but relatively common. These birds have been protected since 1954 yet this is still happening almost with gov't connivance considering there has been no tightening of the law.

What happened is clearly wrong, but the case fell apart because of this video, the rspb covert surveillance was carried out illegally and can’t be used.

dave setchell In my opinion it should be legal to beat scumbags like this to death. They are right down there with nonces and rapists. Forget court and forget the law, someone ought to stick the cunt's head in a vice and tighten it until his brain explodes out of his skull.

Just set the gamekeepers cottage/ house alight one night. If he and family dies sends out a strong message for the next gamekeeper ! With 70+ million people in UK who is going to miss a waste of space family ? Thought so !!

This kind of wildlife crime is damaging and irresponsibly stupid and should rightly be condemned . But these isolated cases should not be used to condemn all ( legal ) vermin control and legitimate sport shooting
@PeowPeowPeowLasers6 жыл бұрын
Disgusting. All this cruelty so rich people can go and shoot birds for "sport". It isn't sport, the birds aren't willing participants. How about we gather the shooters up and put them in a cage with some hungry lions? Let them play "sport" then.

Funny how so many more raptors disappear on estates managed for grouse shooting than otherwise, innit?
@angearanach11396 жыл бұрын
dave setchell read the recent eagle report on their fates - at or near grouse moors. In my opinion you evidence a distinct lack of knowledge on this subject as evidenced with your RSPB rubbish.

brian cooper hopefully this isn’t the case. So many valuable red and amber listed species gone if the moors and keepers go.. The day grouse shooting ends would be a very sad day indeed.
