I wish they would add a segment when the judges go off to select the semifinalists, where the contestants try each other's items and we get to hear their comments. It would give us a sense of how they feel they compare to others

Love the show and hate to sound picky, but "macaroons" are coconut cookies. What the chef made are French Macarons.

The editor who captioned this section even spelled it incorrectly: they wrote Macaroon ( 'RUNE' - the coconut cookie) instead of Macaron (Roan - the meringue sandwiched one). Pronunciation can be off & blamed on Brit vs American pronunciation, but NOT the spelling!!!!

I'm surprised that the French/Saveur didn't go up in flames!! When he was whisking the passionfruit and eggs, the cloth holding the bowl was mere inches away from that roaring flame and it was hanging off his apron ties!! YIKES!!!

I wish the judges didn't have to watch. Maybe they could have cameras and watched. from another room. The bakers are under pressure, without the judges watching their every move and asking questions. I understand they are judged on every thing, but for the judges,to keep interrupting and making comments,is unfair, After all,it is the presentation and taste. All should win. Everything, looks so delicious. I would love to taste the Greek olive muffin. I love all cusines,Greek food is delicious, but every country has its own speciality. The judges also have to consider, the different equipment, that is being used. I think Mark, should have. just stayed with 5 foods. He added pressure to himself. I couldn't wait to the end,but I was so excited and didn't want to. skip ahead. I do think,it was unfair, for the judges to judge before everything was finished, that was distracting. Of course, they are nervous,no great cook, pasterier wants to be pressured. Some foods can not be rushed. I just wish, the judges would just leave them alone and stop criticizing,or interrrupting. I felt sad for Rolan, when his first batch of scones wasn't to his satisfaction. I hope he didn't throw them away. The judges should allow for the fact, the ovens and cook tops are unfamilar and temp.are not regulated as the bakers own equipment. Everyone should win something. I really think,it was unfair, for the judges to ask Rolan, what was wrong with his scones. I really don't like the judges. The French are always energetic ,yet perfectionist. I loved this video, just wish the judges had watched them from another room, via camera. It was just so unfair, for the judges,to keep interrupting and talking/ criticizing. I felt the pressure and really got annoyed at the judges and the loud voice of the narrator. These judges actually acted like amateurs. They were too intrusive during the preparation. They should have let the chefs do their baking and then judged the final product.then asked questions. Didn't. the bakers get to choose what they wanted to present. I just did not like the judges. So they didnt' have measuring cups or spoons.can't imagine!!.not even a regular cup. Did the contestants bring their own equipment and ingridents? How did the judges give true grading, without clearing their palletts,,because there were so many different taste varities. It was not like every contenstant baked the same item. Gosh if they had to transport the food, most might have been cold. The judges just wanted to eat. I Don't like these judges Sorry.but I don't!!!!! I love the contestants.each family is AMAZING and I would like to eat in each restaurant. If the judges would leave them alone, they wouldn't make mistakes.. I wish this hadn't had narration and just let us watch. I wish the judges had stopped interrupting. I DO NOT LIKE THESE JUDGES!!!!
