You CAN do your hair on your own. Just be careful and do lots of research. I've bleached my hair and been brunette, blonde and recently dyed it red and couldn't be happier. Different circumstances but I've been forced to do my own hair for years now, mainly for financial reasons too. I'd love to afford a good hair stylist but it's just not possible. Guy Tang is a hair artist and very few are on his level of hair perfection! He's also multi talented too!

I wish I could remember the singer who was a beautician first. She did everyone’s hair when she was on tour starting out. It was funny because she said they would rehearse while she was curling their hair. The reason you want to talk to your clients is because you need to know their energy. Hair styling is a very intimate service. You both have to feel extremely comfortable with one another.

I can’t afford the products (nursing student) but the techniques and restoration of nourishment is amazing!Ive recently bleached a few highlights in my ‘fro and toned with Wella T35 :)… I’m always confused on when to do hair dye. First bleach? Second tone? Third color? I want brown roots with my golden highlights (or “patches” as my husband says)

And that’s fine. No one is forcing you. It’s also the energy exchange. The stylist also isn’t force to do the clients hair as well . Both parties have the right to choose the right energy they want to surround themselves with. No one is forcing anybody. I’m not forcing anyone to be my client. I’m booked out for 4 years and no longer take any new clients. So I refer people to others that fit their needs for their hair. 🩷

I call my self an author in training where I have not published a novel yet. Still working on it. But I see so many authors who have to use pen names in order to write in other genres because they are labeled as oh Adra is the fantasy writer so she can't writer horror or romance. So I totally get what you mean about people being forced into a box. Even content creators on youtube and twitch run into the same problem. You want to start playing 7 days to die on your channel and your a Minecraft channel? No that's channel death you cant do that and unfortunately for a lot of creators it ends up being the death of their channels.
