You should look at the Solomon physalis gp02. I think you’d enjoy the build. Basically a mg ex gp02

there was a pbandai pg blue frame, came with a bazooka and outside of that, is the same

Nillson and daban did one not too bad on price but are hard to come by. nilson is better closer to the master grade, and the daban is a copy of this one

Something to help with the lights in the head. Put a layer of aluminum foil inside. It will brighten it.👍 You don't need much, just enough to fill in behind the bulb.

The circuit runs directly behind the bulb, would the aluminium affect the current? Or do you put the aluminium outside of the casing at the area surrounding the bulb?

I’d assume in this case, just cut a hole in the small sheet and then put it on the front of the led box with the light poking through

Hi from NZ! Amazing build! This kit comes with the shield and beam rifle right? I’ve read in a few places that only the non kai version does? I hope that’s not true I’m just about to click buy now on a kai version but am hesitating until I can get confirmation on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated

yes you get the beam rifle, shield, and beam sabers like the original PG kit..........you have a lot of left over parts too almost enough to make a second beam rifle

Have you tried putting the aile striker pack on it? Or any other 1/60 striker packs either from bandai or 3rd party? Would love to see the compatibility

I could be wrong but I vaguely remember reading that the PG Astray was designed by a single guy. Could be a reason why the kit doesn't feel as good as the Strike.

Does it come with the action base you have it on? You said it came with it, but towards the end you said "You need an action base to keep it up" as if it doesn't come with one. I'm confused 😂

Yes it comes with the action base. What I meant was there was no way to pose it without using said action base

i just bought the 1/100 master grade one, and its my first gunpla tbh. But I really want to buy perfect grade one, but either this one is out of stock or selling for very high price on ebay.

the kai version of this kit is rare and expensive, there is a regular astray red frame that you can get much cheaper, it just comes with less stuff

​​@@jabman025the kai version actually just reprinted and arrived overseas (it's retail here in the west anyways), so it won't be are for a bit until it sells out. def is more expensive tho. regular is around 250cad while the kai is 360cad. imo worth it for the extra katana + beeg sword

what accent? lol. thank you for the comprehensive review. I built the PG Strike Rouge and I couldn't figure out the LED. How does it compare to the RG? I threw my away after building it and swore off the design.

there's no RG astray kai sadly, and the only 1/144 tactical arms is in the hg blue frame second L, which is the wrong version (minigun instead of claw things)

@@JJTheDev there is however an RG Red Frame. I'm sure you can find the additional parts somewhere if that's what you want.

@@richard1701able true, some people have done that kitbash. one thing to note is that iirc the mg and RG have sleeker proportions, while the hg and especially the pg are much thicker at the thighs (which is more anime accurate). in this case, it's cause it has the pg strike frame as jabman mentioned.

Yea, it's not my favorite and hate the cost. built a nilson and loved it so much compared to this one also whish the tactical arms was better and not flop and the union joint

I used a decal bonder on the decals but otherwise no top coat

I get a kick out of how the 1/60 and the 1/100 use the same beam saber effect parts

Proportions are ass on this compared to the mg.
