Perfect Grade Zaku II | Timelapse + Process

So this MS-06F Zaku II was either my first or second Perfect Grade. I don't have many pictures for it, but I talk about the pros and cons of this older Gunpla, and my many learning points through building this.

Your video, is the only reason, I was able to finish this kit. It's a given that all the instructions are in Japanese, I got stuck on the pipes for the helmet, and your entire video just saved my entire build. you're a fucking legend, thank you for this!!!

I found an english instruction manual for this but its for the green version I was wondering if it still can be used for the red one. Never mind found it can be

For future reference, all of the pictures in the book should be to scale, so even if you can't read the language you can compare the real thing tk the picture and it should match up

Nothing in the Manual for building this kit is to scale. There are a myriad of steps that could stump even an experienced builder for this kit if this video didn't exist.

Thinking of buying it, is it worth the money ? I recently assemble the rx782 pg and that kit was kinda hell and the screw kinda sucks but at the end, i was proud and its worth it. Is this one worth it ? Is it also wobbly ?

Hahaha, I think they released around the same time, so yes the RX-78-2 would be the same.

A quick check showed me that it was released in 1998, so yes, same shitty quality. But there is a PG RX-78-2 2.0 TBC as of 2020 for their 40th anniversary. That sounds exciting!

It is however not the most detailed zaku it's outdated enough to be less detailed than the origin zaku and rg zaku rip

When I bought this kit, It was my very first Gundam model ever. I am an experienced modeler, but no where near the skill level to build this correctly. I did what I could, I made a mess, but if you really want this kit, and don't mind used gundam, I will sell it to you. I paid $100 USD years ago. The kit is assembled, yet, unpainted. Parts are glued, I won't lie it will be an engineering project just to get it back together properly and painted. Personal Message me if you are interested.

how did you tell which screws went to what? i can't tell which screws go where.

obviously they're in colored bags but i can't tell on the manual which screws to use.

I was confused with the screws too. I try not to tighten them until the end in case I... er... screw up. Usually, the black screws go with the black parts, and the silver screws go on the insides. The bag should label them, and you should open them ONLY when you need to assemble.

@@nerdsomnia When I did my build, I used Google Translate to be able to read the Japanese. That helped immensely.

Vids from 5y ago but why not try, ive spent the better part of two hours trying to het this damn LED on, remade the head piece 4 times and swapped the batteries twice. Nothing

It is an old kit. 1999, so it's been sitting on a shelf for 25 years. Perhaps your kit was faulty, or intricate electronics like LEDs were not meant to last that long. Bandai should sell LED replacements. If you have done everything right, and you're sure it's not user error, it's probably a faulty LED.

Yes, and kanji is derived from chinese. All you need is to know what the word for long and short is, and you should be able to make out most of the instructions, since they’re pictorial.

@@nerdsomnia I knew that latter half of that statement, having built nearly 50-90 kits myself. But despite where it comes from the language in most, if not all kits is mainly Japanese.
