I like that the preppy seals so well that the pen is usable after months laying in some drawer. No hard starts ever. I wished all of the expensive pens were that good at that. And the nib writes well, quite consistently for some preppies I had.

Yes, I've had the pleasure of playing with four now, and the only one I have had any disappointment with was the 0.3mm - which was very scratchy compared to the three 0.2mm versions. One day I will smooth it out a bit on a little emery paper!

I love my two TWSBI ECO's, they are fantastic value for money. I also like my Platinum Preppy's, I have a fair few of them now usually in 03 'Fine', great writers. But for true value for money 'beater' fountain pens that don't write like trash, I have just discovered the Zebra Fuente disposable fountain pen, these retail for about £2.50 and are amazing! So comfortable and have great fine steel nibs.

I have tried a Zebra, and I like the feel of them too - but I really want to get away from the concept of disposable. Refillable makes so much more sense!

Not an artist myself (struggle with stick figures) but I have heard artist like the Platinum 3776with their Ultra Extra Fine nib. Their extra fine is really really fine so who knows about the UEF.😊

Ah, I'd like to try one of them one day - sadly finances don't allow for now!

Hi, I have a question: what kind of "pen" do you use for painting and sketching? In the last part of the video you use some sort of paint in a special container. Could you make a vidoe for these tools for a beginner painter ( maybe the next van Gogh? just kidding). Thanks in advance. And thanks for the nice video! I really like watching these! For the preppy you can get a converter, also an adaper to use normal cartridges; there a also the "platinum plaisir" with preppy inside plus some AL part (cap and holder, I think) Best regards Jürgen

Many thanks, Jürgen. Yes, I tend to use the Preppy for sketching and drawing when I have time, and I'll happily make a video on the paintbox. I love it! Yes, I think I mentioned that my Preppies tend to have the adapter to convert them to standard ink cartridges, but the Preppy cartridge has lasted so long already, that I think I'll stick with them for now. They work very well, and I don't use enough to justify getting a new cartridge convertor for now. Many thanks for the comment!

@@writerlywitterings you can easily refill a cartridge by using a syringe; maybe do some cleaning before.

Wonderful, happy dogs! ❤ Is it a Rhodesian Ridgeback and a Berner Sennen? 🥰

Yes they are! And well spotted (unlike the brutes in my dining room!)

Have you seen the paperclip that is shaped to take pens on notebooks?

No! That sounds fascinating - do you have a picture or a link?

@@writerlywitterings I've tried posting a link to the Amazon page but each time it fails.
