Hey! My history is acting, film & and production, but I'm finally trying to lace up my writer's shoes, so this was such good info! I'm looking forward to checking out a few things mentioned. I have to say though, there was something going on with the sound in this video. If you're not comfortable taking your own photos or you don't have the right "aesthetic" in your home, then I do think that stock photos are such a great way to go! There are a lot of websites out there now like Dupe, Pexels, etc that have really nice stock photos that don't look too stock-y (if you know what I mean)

I think that if you're writing from a place of passion and about something you care about, combined with consistency and treating it like a business, then you'll definitely find that success you're looking for! And yes, there can definitely be more than just one reason to get started

I've recently bought your beginners guide to blogging and I was wondering about niche ideas. You said having one single niche allows Google to rank you faster because they know what you are about. But what if you have a lifestyle niche? Will it be harder for Google to rank you? Should you only have 2-3 lifestyle topics you post about? Or what would be too many. How often should you be posting each topic you write about?

I'll be honest with you. This is out dated information. All of this trying to please google stuff worked a couple years ago, but since the past year, their algorithm has changed drastically. It's near impossible for a new blog to rank on google and get traffic just through SEO right now. I don't know why influencers are still promoting this outdated strategy of trying to get traffic from google. SEO is pretty much done for. I've been into blogging since 2017, and I'm saying this very responsibly. It would be better to invest your time and effort growing on other social media platforms and on KZbin. You'll have a much better chance of making income. All these bloggers that are still making big money are already established businesses, not just blogs anymore. They have developed big e-mail lists and tons of followers over the years when things were different, and now they sell courses and services to those followers. That's how they're still making money. Nothing against it, but i think selling blogging courses specifically in today's time is being dishonest with beginners who are eager to put effort and make an online income.

@@imaan7073 as I mentioned, I've been a blogger myself since 2017. I was also a member of a paid bloggers group and around 95-98% bloggers lost majority of their google traffic in the past year. I know bloggers who were making 10s of thousands of dollars and lost 90% of their income.

You can still do a lifestyle niche, it just might take more content before it starts generating big traffic! Think about if you're writing 5 recipes for a plant-based, no oil cooking blog versus 5 different posts about cleaning, organization, decor, etc for a lifestyle blog - both are helpful and good niches, but the more specific one will likely find it's audience faster since it's so niche

A blog is definitely not passive. It can open up doors later for passive income, but a blog will take at least a year of at least 4 posts a month plus socials (ideally 8 to 16 posts/month) for Google to see your blog as relevant and trustworthy.

Hello there, I agree with the idea that you should adopt the human touch and not use AI-generated content. That said, I believe although it's not quite there yet, it has incredible potential as an assistive tool. I noted the suggestion of being specific and saying "I did ABCXYZ", etc., BUT my dyspraxic brain is struggling to reconcile this with something you've said previously, that "Nobody Cares About You" - Surely, if this is true, then it naturally follows that it's better to avoid the use of first person? Or could it be that more people actually do care than we think, and after being drawn to a post, they might buy into the person behind it because of an authenticity? Or because the post resonated with others. Or because more people prefer the personal, the human touch to AI content. Still trying to figure this out, as I signed up to a Bluehost plan in the summertime... But the idea that "Nobody Cares" seems like a very cynical outlook to have, and with this in mind, I suspect that others taking the critical step would feel less motivated, or wonder what the point is. 💕✨

When she says "nobody cares about you" she was saying instead of writing a post called "my favorite skin care products" to instead title it something like "skin care products to change your skin in 3 weeks" or something that is more focused on the reader and what value you can bring to them, since when we're just starting out, nobody cares about our favorite products or what we like. That will come later once we have some authority and have built a following. For example, Taylor Swift or Beyonce can write about their favorite items and everyone cares since they're already well known. But us who are just starting out would do better to focus on phrasing things in a way that is not about us, since we're not well known yet.

Google does not penalize AI-generated content if it meets their guidelines for high-quality content. The key factor is the quality and usefulness of the content, not how it was created. I know I'm just nobody yet in the space (not generating any revenue with my new blog) but I think you get it wrong about this. It's better to integrate AI into your workflow than it is not. The keypoint is to make it usefull for readers and to provide value

So, I have a suggestion for you, which is ENGAGE with your commenters. If people sticks around for 22 minutes, they will likely have some questions. At the very least, try to answer them. I had some questions, but I noticed that there are no responses from you any of the many questions posted here, so why bother posting mine? I call these "hit and run" videos. It shows respect and interest in what your subscribers have to say when you reply.
