Try "DOWN SO LOW" from this same concert in Offenbach Germany 1976. Linda puts her heart and soul into this one.

This was originally an Everly Brothers song written by Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers, who had a US top-ten hit with it in 1960, reaching #8.

Linda was the one who set the bar in the 70s for vocals. Versatile and beloved. If you have not heard Gabriel Henrique of Brazil, he has the voice to honor her as he honors Mariah and Whitney. Linda just rocked a bit more when she wasn't breaking your heart!!✌

Great vid, I hadn't seen this one yet. "Desperado" in 1977 with just a piano is amazing.

I gave my request four Linda Ronstadt songs ago with this request, You gotta react to one of her first hit singles , "Linda Ronstadt - Long Long Time". This is a live version she sang on the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour in1970 and was released in June of 1970. This song will hit you where it hurts if you ever wanted someone that, well didn't see you the same way.. The music, the words and her voice in this song still makes me emotional and I'm sure you will be too. Looks like one of her very first hits will be the last that you react to. LOL.

Willy Nelson said and I whole heartly agree, there are two types of men in this world, the ones that have a crush of Linda Ronstadt and the ones that have never heard of her. I have had that crush on her for 50+ years.

Great reaction, Angel. Yes, she is loved, and she is beautiful. But not as beautiful as an Angel 😉. I agree with you. It was a different time. I think it was a better time.

Back then, everyone enjoyed whatever genre of music they liked. I loved my Country Music but also liked Linda Ronstadt, The Carpenters, Judy Garland, Doris Day, etc. We all didn't know the music & movies would change, so much. I don't watch any type of Award shows anymore, including any movie ones. Most of the artist & movie stars l grew up watching are gone. Miss those times.

Please do her beloved “Love Has No Pride”: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqDKm2Odd8eKhJI. Other great singers have also covered it, but hers and Bonnie Raitt’s versions are my favorites.
