This song is about a man on Death Row about to face the hangman.. One of the most powerful songs ever done by Iron Maiden - the main songwriters are Steve Harris (Bassist) and Bruce Dickinson (Vocalist) but all the others chime in at times. Too many great songs to give you here but my current favourite is "Writing on The Wall released a few years ago.

Hi Angel. I have been an Iron Maiden Fan since the early 80s. Being remote from their home base (England) I have only had the opportunity to see them live three times (South Africa twice and Singapore) - but believe me they are one band you need to see live in person at least once. Also the trials Bruce Dickinson has gone through and beaten (including throat cancer) and his accomplishments outside the band are extraordinary (airline pilot !!!). Enjoy this powerful and wonderful band.

Great reaction to the video and lyric video this song is really powerful. Most people are in a good mood because of the beat and then they hear the first lyric and realize this is going to be a heavy song. It is very well put together and believe this was a posthumous song on his greatest hits album that came out after he died 😢.

The whole show was out of this world so I could recommend watching the whole video. The numbers are all favourites but try out High Hopes for another emotional tug. Shine on you Crazy Diamond, one of these days, The great gig in the sky, Learning to fly and probably the best ever finale, Run Like Hell. That was a great reaction. Pink Floyd basically stopped when keyboard player Richard Wright died in 2008, but Dave Gilmour still records and tours now aged 78. Check out his latest tour videos and listen to Scattered. Gilmour still at his best. Drummer Nick Mason has also toured, the bassist at Pulse Guy Pratt plays for both bands. I'm 75 now and Pink Floyd and Dave Gilmour have been my life companions. Enjoy finding out about the world's greatest band.

Much of their music revolved around Syd Barrett, who was the band's original singer and guitarist. Syd, unfortunately, suffered from mental illness and was eventually committed.
