The erratas and semi limit is spot on. Great take. The goku errata should be imo be "pay 1, discard 1, play a 'top' with 3 cost or less" but I can also get behind your errate idea! The pilaf and broly is on point though! Having limits/erratas are the best way to have a continuouly fun and balanced game for the long run. This will make this format so much more playable and fun for anybody who wants to play any color they want

Love your ideas to address TopKu. I think the errata is the best idea I’ve heard from anyone yet! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 As a new player that started with Green without knowing it’s toxic set 1 history … I want to hear your logic but it’s hard to know my colour needs to get powered down too 😅😭😅 Time look at Blue I guess 🤔🤔 I really wish they would add another colour (I vote Purple 💜)

I think broly BR is fine. Games do need to end at some point, and if the green deck gets to the point where they drop 2 8 drops, then theyve earned it.

I think the way to errata pilaf is what they did with ginyu sr, they should add then you cant play pilaf for the turn. that way you can chain pilaf into pilaf, but only once per turn.

Honestly 3 energy for 30k combo power and going even in hand is fine, below curve even when compared with some extra cards. Glimpse does 25k and adds a card back (with much crazier targets then pilaf) for 2 and two galik guns is 30k and going even in hand for 2.

Had me with the errata’s and the semi limit on broly (albeit I personally want him banned all together) banning ribrianne makes sense but Roshi is overkill. Roshi has been around since set one and has been the only reason red in set 1 could occasionally make good plays (especially since red was the 2nd worst color at the time) getting rid of him would severely cripple reds early game because if red cant start getting its aggression going quickly reds gonna go back to being a poor man’s attempt at aggro just the ribrianne ban along with the Topku errata should be enough to keep red in line

Idk about the pilaf. I mean I get it can be crazy strong one of the best cards blue has. But its restriction with 7 or less cards means your keeping a small hand size for the defensive turn, not to mention you can’t combo the pilaf in your hand so really you have 6 cards in your hand to play defensively if you flood your board with pilafs defensively a lot of decks have ways to easily clear your board and leave you defenceless but I am a blue player so maybe I’m biased

I love Blue, highkey Trunks is one of my favorite decks in this game. It's just that in Bandai games it is very abnormal for a card to be able to recur itself. Pilaf felt wild in set 1, but Blue as a whole was unplayable due to Green. It would only take dumb stupid target for Pilaf for it to get completely out of hand and this would just be trimming to avoid future troubles.

​@UniXTCG I feel like the cost 1 or less restriction is enough tbh. It's unlikely that they make a 1 cost card that has a better effect than adding a 10k that adds a 10k that... Pilaf is only really broken if they make a 1 cost earthling that's even more broken than pilaf.

And really if a card is better than pilaf then you can’t pilaf loop if you are grabbing that other card, unless you play trunks and that’s a once per your turn ability but also I could see if they nerf red and green then maybe pilaf does feel too strong and blue becomes the best but I’m not sure.

this is a physical card game, they should not be "patching" cards its dumb and confusing (regardless of if it would be good for the game) and yeah, I never want to play a green mirror ever again where we just take turns throwing down 8 drop brolys for 3 turns

Odd take, but eratta is the easiest way to balance the game without destroying decks and cards. Unfortunately it can get quite confusing so it deff should be used sparingly imo

I’m a firm believer that the health of a card game should have cards at max copies or none. Also erratas without new prints of the cards makes a game die.

I think this is a bit of a lack of foresight. You cannot hit Red without hitting Green. Because the ONLY think that's keeping Green from being toxic is Red not allowing it to see 8 energy reliably. This list is to keep Topku from being rampant, but also allowing all 4 colors to be played.

Bro upload some matches I waited forever to see you play set two and you just keep posting Ted talks topku isn’t unbeatable tho it does dictate the game right now but that’s ok unless set 3 has nothing to offer the other colors have answers for topku but people are so stubborn they just want to complain. Honestly unless I go into freeplay, my matches would be me playing TopKu to get ready for the next couple of events while climbing to God rank. The unfortunate fact right now is that if you're playing and building correctly, as a TopKu player you really should only be in danger of losing to the mirror or Beerus unless your brick. Blue has to have many things go correctly and even the TopKu player misplaying the matchup or bricking to win. Green should only win against TopKu if they brick due to it being able to play so many cards before Green can start playing valid ones. Yellow has most of its good cards in the 20k to 25k range of attack making them incredibly easy to deal with and in somecases not even needing a direct attack on them. The summary of all this is, until we see changes to the format, whether that be a banlist or set 3, Topku is format warping. Past that, if I had to play a non red deck right now, it'd be Trunks, but it's lights out if I run into a Green player or a TopKu player that has put in the time to understand how Blue works. I could upload some matches soon though!

@@UniXTCG I get it you got live events on the brain. And maybe it isn’t wise to play your deck on the game because “stream snipers” right? And you know everyone at your event will be playing topku. Why wouldn’t you make a topku killer and sweep the event? Feels kinda cheap but I get it. It’s all about the dubs. But some people like myself want to see you have fun instead of playing the meta just for dubs. Idk what you play fr just upload matches please

I do not agree with the Cell game. If you ban the card, the leader is no longer playable. Even with the Cell game, the game is much weaker than red and blue. Why is Broly semi-limited when green decks are not played?

That's the whole point. When making lists, you need to expand your field of view. Green isn't being played right now due to Red being to fast. But when you sit down and play Green decks against Blue, the match-up is almost unwinnable. It has a pretty even match-up vs Yellow too. So if Red got hurt badly enough, Green would likely immediately the best color by far. So the next step is to look at why. The 8 Drop Broly has no drawbacks to playing him turn after turn after turn and because he can attack twice, usually 2 of him back to back end someones game. nothing stops him, you can only let him do his damage to your life or hand, then deal with him next turn.

@UniXTCG Blue has so many powerful cards, like the combo final hope + pilaf every turn, blue Vegito who can attack twice with 30k for only 5 energy and send one level 5 max to the hand. And Zeno 🥵 How can you beat a player who spams Zeno? Green can be strong in the end game, but it's so weak early game, so for me, it's just a good balance. Blue can have a difficult matchup against green just because the deck becomes slower and more controlled. Yellow with the new Vegeta and Goku Blue is also strong against green but will have a bad matchup against blue because of the ability to send and not destroy a card to the hand or deck. So for me, the only problem in the meta is red.

A lot of people are currently migrating from OP and other tcg because is actually cheap game. Game is cheap many are able to play. Game isn’t dead and I doubt is going to die since it is a big IP

Pilaf is already balanced. Using a card to grab itself if usually a waste, and I've never used pilaf that way. Topku would balance if you had to discard 2 cards instead of 1. Broly 8 drop isn't that good it needs a limit, it's strong, but I've never feared it coming out, Androids hurt way more. Nothing is so strong it should be banned, especially roshi. He isn't even the best 1 drop awakener, he's just in red that's why he's brought up.
