Yeah, Adam's voice is one in a million. But even more amazing is his control. He does three shows a week with Queen (probably the most technically difficult catalog ever) and you never hear him go off key or strain his voice. He hits the high notes that even Freddie struggled with ease. Unreal.

In all brutal honesty, I'm not a fan of the singer of Guns and Roses (whom Slash played with). He has some good songs but he's just not the "best" singer...but he is definitely a rock singer which I respect them all. Adam is like, on a high level of being able to sing, but he needs a band to play with and write good songs to sing. He might get there.

This was my introduction to Adam. Was flipping through TV channels here in the UK one afternoon when I was 14 years old and this was on ITV2. It was conspired to make Adam Lambert runner up. If you win, you're bound by contract for a year and you have to sing whatever they give you. My guess is Adam wasn't happy with that and he refused to sign the contract. That's why he didn't win.

He has one of the best male voices I have ever heard. The fact that Zeppelin themselves Ok'd this performance when they hadn't before on a talent show says ALOT. I was shocked when they said in the documentary on netflix that because he had hid he was gay, that was the reason he didn't win. Can you imagine an openly gay man on AI in 2009? Or any year. They would have found a reason regardless. I'm so happy to see him performing with Queen now. He is amazing.

Not strictly correct. This was the first time Zeppelin allowed the song to be performed on a *US* talent show, but a contestant on Australian Idol sang it during an early elimination round two years prior to Adam. And arguably that performance was a better tribute to the Zeppelin original by keeping an honest rock style and not going the glam rock direction. I heard him say it was a BLESSING because he would have been shackled to the AI machine for years. He got the exposure he needed AND the freedom to launch an independent tour. I think taking on Queen has provided the thrill of a lifetime. He travels the world with 2 ROCK GODS while also doing his own thing on the side. I bet that Brian and Roger will bequeath a good portion of Queen's royalties to Adam someday. He's earned it. .He means the world to them.
