A few notes here (applies to most TMICs for these cars): 1) Cover the turbo outlet with painter's tape during TMIC swap. 2) Use hairspray as the lube for the TMIC to throttle body hose. This will act as a lubricant for install, but will dry and act as a sealant to prevent the hose from blowing off. 3) Add anti-seize to TMIC to turbo bolts. 4) DO NOT torque the TMIC to turbo bolts with a torque wrench. You will snap them off. Use a stubby ratchet and snug them down hand tight. The gasket provides the seal, not the bolt torque, so go easy.

Just followed these steps with my Mishimoto intercooler, easy to follow! Hardest part was getting the hose clamps on throttle body hose to an easy point to tighten 😂

Whats connecting the intercooler to the turbo? Is there some kind of flange or adapter? It just doesn’t reach on my car.

After install do need to tune¿

A tune will not be required after install, however it could help you gain more power once the intercooler is installed.
