I am not the type of guy that comments on videos. I believe it takes so much for a video to inspire me and comment. But Gosh! Aaron is such a knowledgeable and compelling perfumer. This is what I am expecting when I want to look at a fragrance review. I am tired of the typical "10 sexiest fragrances for men". Aaron puts quality as a priority instead of quantity, and as a viewer I do appreciate that. Aaron, keep up the fantastic work. As a side note, I am subscribed to multiple channels, but yours is the first one that I turned notifications on. I just do not want to miss any video. Many blessings, Aaron. Next is to enter into your fragrance collection. I am really excited about that.

Something that stands out for me in most Creed's fragrances is their typical silky-smooth white musk in the base sometimes accompanied by ambergris or mellow creamy sandalwood like in SMW. This base is what always stands out when you compare their frags to clones and it screams quality.

@@winnienguyen4420 People who wear Creed don’t wear Amarf. Yes Silver Mountain Water has performance issues but we just switch to another Creed like Green Irish Tweed or perhaps Xerjoff. Creed does have boutiques, to my knowledge there is one in New York and Sydney. The Sydney boutique has some of the most expensive prices in the world. Like art , the canvas/board, frame , oil paint is much cheaper than the price. You pay for the composition and exclusivity. The only problem with that is good quality clones will pop up. In the heat sometimes simple compositions work the best. I don’t think this is at all linear. I love the opening but when the top notes leave I’m left with something that reminds me of soaps from my grandmothers’s cupboards.

Himalaya, silver mountain, the old vetiver from 10-15 years ago, and bois de Portugal are favorites of creed. Bois de Portugal is really strong at first but it’s so nice after an hour or two. Just so expensive. 😩 Have been wearing le labo another 13 the last year and it’s different for me but I like it for being more floral than I usually like. my grandfather always wore kolnish wasser or the Ralph Lauren gold bottle and the nostalgia those scents bring me is very nice even if they are love/hate or not very expensive ones.

For those that are able, try and find one of the discontinued 4oz bottles. Smells amazing without all the reformation bs of post 2016 Creed. @Xena395

This salesman at Bloomingdales was trying to persuade me, by telling me how creed perfumes have not been reformulated. The credibility of the company of their products are going downhill, with sales rep to charm and lie to customers. He thought I was going to open my wallet and dropped money, because he said I was getting $40 off. Then I said, I’ll have a sample if you don’t mind. In the past I’ve gotten caught up in the excitement of a perfume, after a few months I realize I don’t care for it. Now I’m stuck with a few bottles collecting dust in my closet. These sales associates will look at you like a peasant who can’t afford a $300 perfume, because you’re leaving the store without buying anything. I have the right to go to a store to see products, ask for samples to test them out.

SMW is the first Creed fragrance that I fell in love with. This is an amazing smell of ice, berries and white freshness. But, unfortunately, almost all the perfumes from the Creed house are not persistent and do not have a sillage. they sound like cologne on my hot skin for 2 hours and then they just die. I think you cannot do this with fragrances, you cannot change them and ask for that kind of money for bottles. the flavors are awesome but the projection is awful. business and art are incompatible unfortunately

I'm so glad that you like it! And I also appreciate your criticism. I agree that it is slightly overpriced, and because Creed sold the company to BlackRock Long Term Private Capital and Javier Ferrán, I fear the quality of the batches may come into question eventually. But in my humble opinion it was definitely a good investment for me. Great review. So right about the price point selling in Harrods etc. In France I can buy it directly from Creed or from Nose (they give 6 free samples) for 200€ thats £165 for 100ml & free delivery; which is much more reasonable. Love Silver Mountain water very much & been wearing it for about 25 years with intervals of other Creeds. Love to hear your review of Aventus, nice but for me not Creed & a bit generic. Oops just saw your Aventus review so thanks again.

The only reason I have one 100ml bottle of Creed fragrance and not ten, is that price. The only reason I bought it (GIT) is because it was on offer a few months back (£180 instead of £245). They are not £230 - £250 100ml scents. They should be in the £130 to £180 range, IMO, especially the later formulations.

Yay, you finally found a Creed that you seem to rather like! Even if you think it's overpriced. Let's face it, even if Creed didn't have to account for store markups, they would still still their fragrances for as much as they could get away with. Because they can and people will keep buying them. 🤷

This DNA 🧬 is the original base for Aventus. Released in 1995 let that sink in! A true masterpiece and completely revolutionary scent slept-on by the public & industry where the masses didn’t discover it until Aventus really blew up in 2017. Gordon Ramsay’s signature frag.

This on my skin smells amazing and then vanishes completely in 3 hours by hour 4 no trace of it nose pressed against skin nothing there and i paid £200 for 100ml of it lol contrast that with green Irish tweed same price 8 hours performance sometimes longer and decent projection for a few hours whiffs of it still pumping for 8 hours, definitely try before you buy silver mountain water the smell is perfection but the performance on me is extremely poor, for some I’ve heard saying the opposite about it so I’m not saying it’s bad I’m just saying for me I’m pale skinned and i get better performance out of a jimmy choo fragrance that costs £50 for 200ml than i get from creed silver mountain water that cost me £200 for £100ml so it’s a good idea to try this out first in case you are like me,the scent itself though is beautiful so if it works on your skin lucky you enjoy it

Now try Armaf Sillage. A clone of silver mountain water. Some people say it is like the original vintage version and one of the best clones from Armaf. I like it for what it is tbh.

I like it, but have to be in the mood. It’s pretty far down the reach list and tends to be used when I think I’ve not used it for a while. It’s a summers work day scent, not a going out scent, not enough punch to it.

Lovely scent but as with a lot of recent Creed scents, its longevity is poor, like maybe just a couple of hours which (for me) makes it a non-starter for the price. Have a bottle but wouldn’t buy again

Very Nice Aaron....Love that Creed only thing i do not like is the price............Problem is Aaron if you go to there web sight its where its the most expensive! So i do not no if its the department stores that sells it at such a high price because i think Creed its self sells it for a high price....You must be looking at the 50ml for 185 pounds because at discounters for the 100ml its 271 dollars
