The main positive to high priced fragrances is not only are they usually very good. But because of the cost they're not going to be accessible to the masses. And therfore if you wear it.. You'll smell unique .. obviously Tom Ford would make more money if more people bought this but That's not what they're after. This is why I'm ok with top dollar fragrances. As long as the quality is top notch 👌

@@GarethDaviesUK if your a fragrance purest like many here you’ll know the difference instantly between copy cat’s and real fragrance, after years of collecting your nose and palate become accustomed to superior products, I don’t wear designer fragrances now and the majority of my collection of 60+ fragrances are niche fragrances, apart from a couple designer that I’m just running down.. put it another way, you could buy a £5 bottle of wine and a £50 bottle of wine which do you think would taste better?

My favourite scent of all time. I like the medicinal plummy notes interweaving with the sweet white musk. As a woman of a darker temperament, I find it incredibly wearable, but you do need a certain disposition to carry it off. Honestly the ridiculous price probably also means a lot of people might think twice before purchasing.

I have the 100ml of Tobacco oud.. I love it..so I just bought the intense.. was so happy to have it..unfortunately I didn't find it to be intense.. I was hoping for more castoreum kinda like oud wood intense..I found it totally redundant to own both.. thank God for ebay..

My full bottle of Forbidden came this week and I really can't stop smelling it. I love how it goes from citrucy to boozy to sweet. Not sure how you managed to make a boozy, oudy, patchouli gourmand... but you did and it's blended to perfection. I'm getting a hot toddy tea party served with chocolate cherry bakewell. I really want to try layering it with your Oud but the 10ml has been sold out on Maxaroma... so I'll keep checking. 🍋🥃☕🍒🍫🍮

As this is discontinued and I really love it, I have bought a few back up bottles of this - my question is if I store these unopened and fully sealed (in plastic and all) in a dehumidified wine fridge around 12degrees Celsius (constant temperature) .. will these last long? Is it possible to have these stored long term and not be totally spoilt? ...

Tobacco Oud was a major dislike for me years ago after I blind bought it. A few years later my nose opened up to all of the different facets I was picking up and is now one of those fragrances that checks all the boxes that makes me happy. I picked up a 10ml decant of Tobacco Oud Intense when I started to appreciate Tobacco Oud and instantly fell in love. I kick myself every once and a while because I didn't pick up a bottle. You literally only need 2-3 sprays max of Tobacco Oud Intense to fill a room so the 10ml should last a long time....hopefully!!! Cheers, Aaron!!!!

I totally agree with Tom Ford fragrances being overpriced. I also generally find that they do not last all that long on the skin. It would be great if the Tom Ford private range had the power and longevity of the original Black Orchid particularly given the price.

100% agree with this. Tobacco Oud Intense is fantastic. Absolutely love it. Just overpriced. Tobacco Oud is discontinued but is rumored to be headed to his Signature line in the fall.

5-30 years. There's a reason people still buy vintage fragrances. Aaron had nothing but positive things to say for that Kouros sample that was nearly 30 years old lol

Keep it away from heat and direct sunlight and it should be good for several years. The scent may change a little becoming more base heavy but real ouds tend to get smoother with time I believe.

If you keep in direct sunlight where it’s hot your get a year before it gets less strong. If you keep it cool and dark it will last 5-7 years before it looses the top notes. I put a PAO of 12M as some people don’t store there fragrance correctly . Like in a hot bathroom, hot room or in direct sunlight. But the only thing that happens is it gets less powerful and looses the magic.
