Bravo! A visual improvement, Mr. Herman. Now, how about a tutorial on the Boule/Assembly phase?

And I was noted, that on 14.1.11 Master Setup (page 8) in turn 9 are 11 yellow bases which are not matches with general yellow components. Is it mistake?

Mark, According to PlayBook for your scenario (14.01.09 page 6) (turn 9)there are no any units in ChiosTheater. (16) Why did you put it?

I just bought this game and trying to learn it by playing solitaire. I m planing to teach my friends later on. Please note that I am Greek , I live in Athens and have been studying history as a hobby since I was a little boy. At the first glance the lack of both a "big green" map and hexes made me think that this would be a poor game..How faulty I was.. This system is the most accurate and elegant simulation of history I've ever seen in a game. It proves that if you know a subject in such a depth as you know it sir, you do not need tons of markers or identifiers in order to represent a specific period so dense in events. As a Greek I am really proud of your work. Hats off to you sir !!

Firstly great video! At one point during the explanation of the military issues resolution in Lesbos the Athenians hadn't lost the 1 naval unit for defeating the two naval units of the Peloponnesian league. It was fixed by 32:59 .The procedures were well highlighted if not the strategy :)

Note that in my excitement and the early hour, I failed to award the Spartans hostages and 10 points of honor for winning two naval battles (Hellespont and Athens) and eliminating an Athenian naval unit.

It says for the spartan 300 that it is also a strategos. Does it count on naval combats also? Why not if it is a strategos? It did not count as a strategos in the video. Also who decides what casualties are taken. In the rules it says that commanding general chooses the losers losses but if the commanding general is the loser, does he decide his losses then?

The Spartan 300 strategos counts in naval combat. I thought I added it in, but I make mistakes when I'm playing, talking and shooting the video.

Looks like the entire video loaded this time. Check out the exciting conclusion to the scenario.

Mark Herman Wait is the loss differential satisfied by unit count or unit strength? I thought it was count.
@markherman507 жыл бұрын
www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1765425/battle-rule-help See rule 9.44, you cannot lose more than the differential or the units, which ever is less.

Mark Herman Ah so a single Spartan army unit would count as 2 points of loss differential?
@markherman507 жыл бұрын
Hopefully that is what the video is showing. Did you watch the portion where I go over how battle losses are taken?
@Venthrac7 жыл бұрын
Mark Herman Yes I did, the confusion on my behalf stemmed from the description in the rulebook as printed, but this video and your BGG post cleared up the matter nicely. Thank you, and excellent game! My wife and I are enjoying it very much.
