The scout at 8:30 really slid through there like butter especially for its size only boats that did that well were 2 maybe 3 times its size .. great design for inlets like this miserable place

Pc Principal I was mesmerized by how well it was able to slice through those waves. You are right, all the boats twice as large were able to go through that smoothly but nowhere close to that speed.

I always timed the tide when coming through inlets in Florida. We are a 45 foot sailboat and we have crossed an ocean, but those inlets are fierce!

No surprise that big Sunseeker Predator 74 was clearly the most sea worthy. Man it went through that without breaking a sweat. With a lot of those open deck boats, the passengers looked like they were holding on for their life.

I believe the boat you ask the make may be an older Pursuit? I am guessing the shot at 10:08 is why they are closing parks on the East Coast. None of those people look to be "social distancing" as that area is packed.

This is why you always check your lifejackets for wear, and then make sure you actually buckle them up. Especialy when you on a PWC, like a small speed boat okay maybe you don't need them all done up, but a pwc in water like that you are just not thinking.

With a bar crossing with so much potential for loss of life I can't believe that people are not wearing life vests. In Australia it is mandatory crossing potential dangerous bars. Bet old mate with 9 on board didn't have nine vests on hand or for that matter where they were located. Boat tips over it is all ready too late.

The unknown boat is a Polar 2700. I have the 2300 version of that boat. Polar went out of business around 2009.

Dry, comfortable/smooth or fast. Can only have 2 of those. You can see in each instance the effect of speed and type of boat having on those 3 factors. Often times, going faster is smoother but gives off more splash.

We used to go to a Marina in the Summer in Cali just to watch the Drunks TRY TO BACK IN and Load Their Boats.....They had Bleachers there and would hand out paper Plates and a Marker so you could Grade the people from 0 to 10....These were Small Bleachers but they would get Packed....And they got Graded for Trying to Back in.... Usually the Guy would send his Wife or Girlfriend to go get the Trailer and it was Tight just Trying to get the Truck and Trailer lined up.....I was asked about 5 Times to back their trailer in for the Girl.....This was At Orrwood Marina in Brentwood Calif....Fights would Break out once in awhile.....You can go to almost any Marina During the Summer and Something will breakout.... Even backing in the New Boaters Fuck around in the Boating Lane not taking the Straps off or finally getting in the Water and the Plugs not in.....I've had some of the same Shit Happen to me to....The more people the Better...

People that have boats ( big or small ) must have license. This is the only way to reduce accidents. The course should take few weeks with both theoretical and practical training.
