Period-Correct | 1985 FJ60 Toyota Land Cruiser

Meet TLC4x4 build #0026. We built this period-correct 1985 FJ60 for our customer who has owned the truck for over 20 years. With the goal to retain the OEM look and feel, we restored all the original components. But, as an avid fisherman, our customer doesn't plan to take it easy on this truck. So, we built a custom, factory-feeling, interior and installed a new LS3 Connect & Cruise.
Now, this FJ60 looks and feels like the original, but has the modern reliability to tackle everything our customer throws at it.

2F is a dog of an engine, plus getting parts gets harder every day. I like keeping things original as much as possible but if I was doing this level of rest id do an engine swap too

I see a lot of videos saying that people use the LS3. Watched a video yesterday saying it is one of the the worst LS engines. I always wondered why people to stick with Toyota for the engine. Is it a parts thing, or people aren't actually Toyota fans. Nice build.

LS swap into Land Cruiser makes me cringe. Toyota UZ engine family is extremely reliable and would be more appropriate fit than a GM engine in my opinion.
