Bruh do you really think if you had sister then you would have know about menstrual cycle, hymen bleeding, contraceptive methods etc. This has nothing to do with having sister. I have 4 sisters alhamdulillah and I didn't knew about menstrual cycle until I came in middle school ,8th standard, where I taught about menstrual cycle. Proof: When I was ignorant and young, I saw a pad advertisement on TV and asked my sister what does this means. She ignored my question many times for many days and when I repeatedly use to ask same question my sister gave a tight slap to me. After that i never ask that question again. Lol I still use to laugh about that whenever I see her. It's all about educating men about these stuffs. I repeat It has nothing to do with having sisters.

Guys should definitely watch this because the amount of ignorance they have regarding the hymen/virginity, a woman's right in intimacy, etc. is very disturbing. Even the cultural teachings of it is so messed up and not from islam. Agree 100% about the period thing 👌🏻 I actually grew up in a home where my mum would say to hide it from my brothers esp in Ramadhaan Lol. But as I grew up and attended madrasah (islamic studies) I realized how dumb that is. But my mum is still very conservative. But I can see as my husband also grew up in a similar home setting, he didn't know much about periods and stuff. So my goal is to raise my sons knowing these things and understand that it is normal. So my daughter doesn't have to hide it and feel embarrassed about it around them and also one day when they get married, their wives don't feel awkward about it and they will have compassion for them at that time of the month.

In most Gambian cultures especially the tribe that I'm from,a white cloth is given to couples to spread on their bed on their first night so they could determine whether the bride is a virgin or not. So if there's blood on the cloth then she is a virgin and if there's no blood then she's not. How intimidating?🤦🏾♂️ Alhamdulillah i learnt that not every girl bleed on their first time due to several reasons. So not expecting my wife to bleed on her first time Insha'Allah . And Alhamdulillah that cultural thing is fading now. Most couples nowadays don't allow it. Like WTH! Whether she bleeds or not that's between us. What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom...

There's definitely a difference based on what culture you're from. I'm pakistani and virginity isn't an issue cause parents keep such a close eye on you haha.. or maybe it is but my parents basically raised as super strict and not to be too girls and expressive. I could dress femine but modest..always wore hijab etc..and basically stayed away from guys. I remember my mom letting me ride my bike and do all sorts of physical activity. She did talk to me about hymen one time and said it had to do with virginity and to be careful and be more femine in my ways of doing things so I don't break it or something like that ..and I remember in class my white teacher in our all girls class taught us that your hymen can break before you ever have sex cause most of our school was Muslim and South Asian. I think it's so hypocritical of men to care about a woman being a virgin. Nit that we shouldn't in the sense of don't do anything before marriage. But like thisbhas become seriously toxic and blown out of proportion. I would just be so pissed off if my husband was "looking to see if I'm a virgin".. it's like you bet I am..and how dare you try to "investigate" like why would you marry me and then "investigate" thats just so low and pathetic.

About traveling: In my family it's not about trust, it's about protection. My dad is scared that something happens to me and he is not there to help and protect me. Especially when I want to travel for a long time or in a far away country. It's difficult for him to submit control and to let me out in the "dangerous" world unprotected. Obviously God is our best protector, but it's difficult for parents to let their children go their own way. Dads will always blame their self when something happens to their daughters because they feel responsible for them. My dad always says he's happy when I get married and he can hand over responsibility to my future husband. (Although I feel responsible for myself and don't want to assign this task to anyone else). It's a very difficult topic...

I am so happy that you did a video about these topics, because sadly in the Muslim community, no matter where in the world, all of these things around period, sex, virginity, intimacy, are taboo to talk about. And even if talked about, it is always not elaborate and honest enough. I was very lucky that in my household there was no shame for me or my mother regarding our periods, even though my mom wouldn’t really say much if my brother asked questions. But I am always answering honest if my brother asks me why I don’t fast or why I can’t read right now. And just like that it will not be uncomfortable to talk or ask about in your parents house or in your future household. I mean it is also pretty bad for all the men to not be included in our female lives and with what we are dealing with from month to month. Trust me that knowledge is power and education is key for comfort, intimacy, good relationships and so on. Thank you for doing this educational video🙏

The freedom/strict part is like Irish Parents up to the early 1980's in Catholic Ireland. Girls unattended traveling alone was really not allowed at all. Some any trips were either in pairs or some one meet you at the other end of the journey.

It's like listening to an older sister 💜 thank you so much for providing these kinds of information☺ ...I mean it's a cycle of life everyone should know about this..don't know why people especially parents feel awkward when talking about these kinds of stuff 💜I really appreciate it.. hopefully in the future schools or colleges will provide sex ed which would of course be based on Islam cuz people are so used to seeing western drama, romance and think that it's normal ...which is definitely NOT 😬

I actually sat down with my brother and just told him. I’m lucky that we both have a close relationship and I’m not embarrassed to say these things around him. He kept asking why I’m not fasting why I’m not praying so on that same day I told him why and he understood. I know it can be embarrassing especially if you’re not close but it’s a normal part of life and there’s nothing to be ashamed of. The unfortunate part is we end up blaming men for not knowing about these things but in the end it’s the woman in our lives who are the ones sheltering them from this

Love this video and I totally agree with the answer regarding periods !! I hate how many communities treat it as such a taboo thing - literally mentioning the fact that you are on your period can help so much within a family/relationship because females do experience PMS (which causes mood changes and pain) and that can offer an explanation as to why the girl feels/acts the way she does!! Allah created our bodies perfectly and there is no need to attach shame to it - period.

For hair, it really helps to use the right sh shampoos/moisturizers, don’t over wash your hair, also the materials your under-cap and hijab (whatever touches your hair) really matters, try to avoid cotton. Silky smooth and breathable is best.

14:24 Exactlyy! Everyone have to know this! I've heard one story about a women who unfairly got divorce just because her husband did not see her bleed on the wedding night, as he accused her for not being a virgin and had past intercourse...even her family disown her for this, that's really frustrating. He must get lashed 80 times for that false and unseen accusation btw..

About the hair and the hijab. Girls, you absolutely need to stop doing bund while putting your hijab and after removing it. Like Jasmine said it pull your hair and doesn’t allow your scalp to breathe = hair loss. SO, I advise you to BRAID your hair gently without squeezing too much. Not only does it protect your hair, but it also make it smoother after a few hours, it also prevent splits. I recommend you very much doing braids.
@user-wm6lm5zm2v3 жыл бұрын
For hair loss what worked for me are ayurvedic powders. I really noticed a difference after a few weeks and it's not expensive! I use them as a hair mask once a week, put a showercap on and wait for 1 hour at least. It's also possible to add essential oils that boost hair growth (patch test first!) Other than that castor oil+mustard oil work well too 💖

Selamın Aleyküm sis 🌸 Thank you for addressing these types of subjects - they really shouldn’t be taboo in this day and age but I can’t stress enough that it’s cultural practices and has no place in Islam SubhanAllah I’m raising a son and 2 daughters MaşaAllah - my son is 9 and he already knows of periods. I’m English so these topics weren’t really taboo here but my husband is Turkish and these topics were unspoken of in his culture. He is amazing and these kinds of things don’t bother him in the slightest (as they shouldn’t) but he did wish that his parents had educated him when he was younger instead of being left to figure things out later in life - and he’s already said himself that our kids questions will be answered Education starts at home!!! And another side note although zina is indisputably Haram if Allah SWT has concealed your sins then no one has the right to ask and you shouldn’t tell your sins to the world. The hymen test, bleeding test has NO PLACE IN ISLAM!

I’m sorry but how are you shy to tell your husband you’re on your period? It’s literally something natural that happens to all women and there’s no shame in it, and if you can’t even speak to your other half about it then what even is your marriage? You should be able to talk about ANYTHING with your partner. How would you talk about it with your children if you can’t even talk to your husband about it.
