Do you ever do a Spinal, epidural, regional block in preop? If so, besides monitoring what is your role during the block? Do you give meds? Hold the syringe for the anesthesiologist?

Yes blocks are done in the pre op area by anesthesiology. Depending on your hospital protocol Anesthesia will do everything. My training is from a teaching hospital so may vary from state to state. However it is the RNs responsibility to monitor vitals including BP, Sats and HR. Hope this helps thanks for watching!!! 🤍🤍🤍
