I hate to fanboy, however, long-time Periphery fan since the Genesis. When I turned 23 or so, I left behind all music endeavors during a low period of rather extreme yet functioning substance abuse which bottomed out and I've always associated music with jamming and getting loaded - once I had to climb out of my hole, and get to my brutal jobs and transferred eventually to owning 2 businesses and getting better, this album comes out and I decided to go down memory lane and I've been immersed back into music after 5 years not listening or jamming a damn thing. This time around with a much healthier association. The thing is I was always pretty on par at playing guitar with a lot of prog bands and theory nerds. I have regained an identity that I forgot about which brings a lot of joy and release from what I was missing. Been playing guitar since 5 almost every day and took 5 years between 23 to now 28. I am making up for lost time and I enjoy every minute of it. This album wi be held near and dear. I understand P4 came out in-between this period of loss, but I wasn't ready yet. Even now, there are some distant memories of brutal times when I get into it, but I wouldn't change a damn thing with all that I've learned. In addition, I always took a lot away from Periphery's business approach to art and career. Owning 2 businesses now where I can sustain a life of my own and have freedom has gained me a lot of fulfillment and perspective that I wouldn't have had without the tough times, the absence of comfort, and perhaps knowing Periphery. Less fanboy, more right place at the right time - more seizing the moment. I did buy all of the merch in response, hood, mugs, vinyl, guitar pro tabs from SH, some horizon devices gear, archetype Nolly, and even a minilogue.. Fight me! Lol Hope to see these guys come to Toad's Place in New Haven again. I'll certainly be there.

This song gives me mad Opeth vibes and I love it. Specifically around the 8:45 mark
