You know, a good music teacher showed me when I was young that metal and classical share very similar sorts of composition, just a difference in sound produced. If I was to try and prove that, I would definitely use this as a example to compare to finely composed music of the past. Anyone else feel that way?

Ash never forced them down any path, after p3 he did suggest the band go down a more commercial route, he didn’t force them. ash is just doing business, he saw the potential and he tried to capitalise on it. That’s what labels do they aren’t charities for artists they have a living to make just like anyone else. The guys in Periphery decided it didn’t make sense for them to be on a label as they aren’t loaning money from Sumerian to record anything as Misha is self sufficient so they probably felt as though it was pointless of them to be signing contracts with a label that has little to offer them
