This is the second half of the juggernaut albums, alpha comes first and there are a lot of callbacks lyrically and musically to juggernaut alpha in juggernaut omega
@ahmaddanial993 жыл бұрын
If its a neverending cycle, wouldn't you say it works both ways?
@dilynazzopardi25983 жыл бұрын
@@ahmaddanial99 yes but it makes more sense to listen to alpha before omega since alpha starts with the main characters birth/rebirth and early life and omega ends with his death and his bargaining for rebirth. Generally I'd rather listen to alpha first because it details the events that lead up to omega, the first time it has happened, we know this since stranger things details the character as a naturally good one but "eccentric revisions to life brought on decay", showing that at that point it is still before the rebirth since they cannot realize the suffering this character will always cause. This shows that omega leads into a repeat of what has happened. Although almost everything works both ways, a few lines make it more similar to the first time going through, not the repeat. Also the chorus from alpha is very similar to the chorus/climax of omega, only omegas sounds much more whole, due to it all being in 4/4 unlike when it is done in alpha. To me, this indicates much more of a grandiose part of the album, typically what you would see near the end, like alpha is, and not like a quarter way through like alpha. Plus stranger things makes a much better ending to a listening over psychosphere, which is great, just not as big or powerful sounding as stranger things.

Every Periphery album is worth a full listen. Alpha obviously as its the opposite side of Omega and how the story begins (if you care about the story of course) and is a good album in general. Periphery 2 might be their best work, it has everything, groove, heavyness, good vocals and lyrics. Everything is great. P3 is quite polarising, you either love the whole album or you dont. Regardless, most of the songs on that album are great. P4 speaks for itself as im sure youve seen from these comments! Listen to Blood Eagle or Ragnarok if you want the heaviest of the heavy. Abolomb or Satellites if you want more of those falsetto vocal lines from Spencer/Spencer's vocal range in general.

some of my thoughts, - reprise the intro is basically a shorter version the "the black minute" from juggernaut alpha however I always feel it is a bit creepier and i personally enjoy reprise more - i absolutely love the way hell below flows into omega, it just works so well - Stranger Things is possibly my favorite periphery song up there with "22 faces" and "reptile" If you dont do a full album listen of juggernaut alpha make sure you listen to 22 faces.

Should have done Alpha first! This is like watching the sequel to a movie before the original, Omega has a lot of callbacks to Alpha

Oh fuck yes, I know what I'm going to do for the next 42 minutes now. Also, you should check out Muramasa (intro to their 2nd album(arguably the most epic intro to an album following Reptile), and Luck of a Constant from the same album. Both are bangers and i'm sure you'll enjoy them. Muramasa is shorter in length though so you should do both in the same reaction if possible. Anyways fuck yes 🤘🏻
