Everyone tries to recommend the newest stuff, but it's a lot to take in. I really think people should listen to the older stuff first so you can fully appreciate some of their best work. I saw another reaction to Satellites when it was only the third song they've heard, they didn't really "get" it. They liked the song, but that change half way through didn't totally work for them. Don't want people to have that experience.

@@darkphoenix2 I would recommend a mix of P1 and P2 stuff to show people how they developed their sound. I would recommend Racecar, and Masamune or Have a blast from the second album... but all Periphery albums are each special in their own respective. You should check out the band Archspire- Human Mumuration.. Thank me later. They are the fastest metal band ever.

Great start into Periphery! I'd recommend Blood Eagle if you want heavy and rhythmic. Stranger Things is really great as well. There are a lot of gems throughout their discog!

My favorite Periphery tracks are - Make Total Destroy, Masamune, Scarlet, Psychosphere, Alpha, The Bad Thing, Absolomb, Flatline, Marigold, Stranger Things, Blood Eagle, 22 Faces and Habitual Line Stepper but they’re one of the few bands where you can put on any song and you’ll more than likely enjoy it. Their last 5 albums are all amazing

Few of us have been pushing for Tesseract which is almost like a sibling to Periphery. Acle of Tess and Misha of Periph were both making their names simultaneously online before they had full bands. Periphery tends to have more slamming, where as Tesseract is more atmospheric and layers. Both bleed into each other a ton, but I gotta say mostly due to vocals and feel, I'm much more into TesseracT. Fine music all around though!

I think it has something to do with youtube pushing ads onto longer videos. Wintergatan said something about it in his latest video about ads being put somewhere during videos and that he had to manually decide to disable them. Knowing periphery something like that is the case here

Glad you dug it. The bits where your eyes were closed, (i.e, most of it lol), you could tell you were super focused haha. This is suuuch a good song ugh. A year and a half later and this shit still gives me chills. Btw, it's KZbin plugging ads everywhere. The band doesn't really get to decide there the ads go afaik.

You've mentioned you couldn't find that live video others mentioned - I think it might be the one they recorded at a session on the MEINL Cymbals channel, maybe check that out. Also, if you're listening to studio recordings, I also see you reading lyrics from genius sometimes, why not just listen on Spotify or Apple Music or whatever you probably use anyway? No ads and perfect quality. It really grinds my gears when some - not you - reaction channels pull up some lyrics video they found of an old metal song on youtube in like 360p, made with damn Windows MovieMaker by a random guy in 2006. And the font is Comic Sans. And dark red. On a black background. And full of spelling errors. Do you know what I mean? I'm sorry for the tangent. Periphery is one of my absolute faves. Great journey throughout their albums in sound if you go chronologically. I'll see you on Twitch sometime!
