That's because they treated their band and industry like the business it is. Entrepreneurs not bound to the walls of another label. They already have a well-established fanbase, they also make money on all of their joint ventures, etc. This way they enjoy making whatever they want for whoever they want, with no constraints. One of the smarter bands to make this their career!

I honestly don't know the band very well but my brother was one of the bands biggest fans and constantly was telling me how much he loved their music. I'm not very into hardcore music but would always try to put me onto their softer music and I really enjoyed it. Every time he would see me he would talk about how much he couldn't wait for the new album. Unfortunately he passed away only about two weeks before the album released. Always going to have new periphery on my playlists now for him

Back in 2007 I got a random follow request on Myspace off an unknown band, called Periphery, from Washington DC with around 3,000 friends. They didn't have a singer at the time, so it was just intrumental demos and one track with demo vocals called The Light. I ripped it (sorry guys) and popped that bad boy on my iPod. I was hooked... 16 years later they're still crushing it!

Having grown up with this band for the last 10 years, every year a new album has released has been key years of my life. 2023, you're gonna be a great year. The March 3rd concert was amazing, and Spencer, if you see this, I'm the dude that waved, walking behind the venue from the coffee shop before the show. Congrats guys!

Maaaan that was exactly what I was telling a friend yesterday night, that every time Periphery has released a new album it has been during crucial times in my life, and all of them has defined a season for me. I can tell you exactly what I was going through when each album came out, good and bad. Man I’m almost tearing up knowing I’m not the only one feeling like this. And by the way I was on The Fillmore on the 3rd too, I was practically in front row, right between Spencer and Mark.

@@juliobonilla3104 Dude I was right in front of Spencer on the railing! We must of been pretty much next to each other! Hell yeah, that’s awesome man! Always great to meet or talk to people with similar experiences!

Long time listener, first time caller here. I've loved seeing the insight into your creative process over the years with each album, even way back with clips of you recording the debut with Elliot's air drumming and Alex's farts. Happy release day fellas!

Another amazing record guys. I firmly believe that the way you have approached the last 2 records on the "take your time" mentality is the best way. I will be incorporating this in all my projects. Thank you for all you do. 🤘💀🤘
