I'm impressed with how the two brothers each have their own area of expertise and are willing to take orders from each other. Maybe because they seem to actually love each other. Best of all is they have learned and practice not to cut corners. Can't wait for each next segment.

I’m not sure it’s taking orders, I think both bring up valid points of executing things & they then decide which is the best / quickest way to do things, & how to do these things properly. Most importantly safely aswell. To me it looks like Jamie has a better understanding of carpentry & alot of people value his decision making

Jamie, if you are venting the roof, you could cut a vent low in the huge columns and let that create the most air flow possible for both areas. It actually could draw some cool air into the attic area, pushing out the hot.

For cutting down the rafter tails/ends it is very nice to invest in the kss60 from Mafell, it is like a rail sawmbut designed as a mitre saw but it is a circ saw so very mobile and you just set the angle and go cut it all away, very easy, and acurate.
