Amazing video, I have a question if i only have a series of ultrasound image and transform, can I still use it? cause my ultrasound device is not support PLUS.

Really incredible!! Thanks for the ongoing tutorials. My lung segmentation is much better thanks to you. Could use the second microphone for the rest of your tutorials? It’s much clearer. Agains thank you

awsome video, i have a question. Can this program use histological cuts? if we have all the images, of the diferent segments of a little invertebrate's organ for example, may i use those to generate a 3D reconstruction of that organ? thanks for the answer.

We used the volume reconstruction for ultrasound, MRI, and histological slices. The main challenge for histological cuts is to get the accurate position and orientation of each slice. You can try to embed fiducials (line patterns, etc.) but it can be technically challenging. You can ask for more details on the Slicer forum - discourse.slicer.org

Hello,I have a problem. Now that I have ultrasound images and their corresponding position information, the position information is magnetic positioning, how to use 3dSlicer to combine the two for a 3D reconstruction? Thanks!

This is what the Volume Reconstructor module does. Please post your question on the Slicer forum - discourse.slicer.org - as this topic is more complex than something that can be discussed in KZbin comments.

Hi! I'm working on nerve segmentation from US. I have a motion tacker from Polhemus to register the 2D US images. Do you know if those trackers are compatible with slicer?

The recommended way to connect to any hardware (tracker, ultrasound, etc.) is to set them up in PLUS (www.plustoolkit.org) and a PLUS server will stream the data to Slicer. That way, Slicer can remain independent of hardware requirements and manufacturer-specific libraries. Here is a list of supported hardware: perk-software.cs.queensu.ca/plus/doc/nightly/user/Configuration.html Polhemus is currently not supported, but you can probably add support based on the existing Aurora or Ascension trackers. PLUS is completely open-source. It may be cheaper to switch to a tracker that is already supported.
