I love this cuz u go into the topic really quick not like others that give a whole speech about their stuff and this and that and then only spend like 5 mins on the actual topic high five for that ✋

Ah, thanks so much for your feedback! I know what you mean. Sometimes you click on a video because of the title but then the video doesn't really get into the topic which is in the title haha. I appreciate your feedback :)

hello heyhuong! loved your videos on both the the down side and the perk of working on a cruise ship. I just want to ask cause i got caught up by the time i heard you say that Rest Days does not exist in the cruise ship. So does the working hours will still be 8 to 10 hours or more?? Could you enlighten me about the free time when we reach the shore please :)
@heyhuong6 жыл бұрын
Hi! Well according to contract you work up to 11hrs a day. But its commonly known that the cruise industry doesn’t always comply with that. I made a q&a video that might help you with your question kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4HQpnd-mbt7abs

Hello I’m considering all my options when I graduate my Nursing course this September. You said you’re working everyday, what are the hours like? Many thanks for your video, I watched your con video before this one and found it very helpful.
@heyhuong5 жыл бұрын
Hi! I’m glad the videos helps! :) I also have a q&a one that answers the most asked questions. Generally the hours really depend on the department your working for. There were 11hr days but also 7hr days for me. It really depends.

@heyhuong6 жыл бұрын
Well it depends on your department. I can’t give a general answer to that but I’d say with experience comes a better pay.

Do you get to get off the ship when you travel? Lol this might be a silly question sori
@heyhuong7 жыл бұрын
+Nobantu Sibeko it's not really a silly question. I would ask the same kind of questions about sth I know nothing about. 😊 Yes I do get of and because I'm working for shore excursions I get the chance to see a lot of places but that doesn't go for all jobs. Always depends on your position.

what if u just like stopped working, would they just kick you off at the next port? or you got fired
@heyhuong5 жыл бұрын
So in the company that I worked for you would get warnings. First a verbal warning and then written warnings. And after the 3rd written warning (I think...? Not sure anymore) you would have to disembark on your own costs.

i got a job on a cruise line but i just want to know a few things before going.. is it as hard as its made out to be and is there possible to make a career out of it or is it something you do for a few years and thats it??
@heyhuong6 жыл бұрын
It’s def not easy. Every job is difficult in a different way. Well, it depends what position you are going for. I think you can make a career but the question is whether it makes sense (depending on the position.)

@heyhuong6 жыл бұрын
I worked for a western one :) no you don’t need IELTs, the English level required depends on your position but enough is required to understand emergency situations and how to handle them I’d say :)

Theres a morgue on every cruise ship and the bodies are removed once a port is hit and flown back to the home country. Google it, plenty of info online.
