I remember my cousin ( she worked in a salon) she had put a perm in my hair and she was very busy that day and I had told her a couple of times that my head was burning and one of her friends came in and she said “ I’m going wash her hair and mold it then I’ll wash the perm out your hair “ and I said but my head is burning bad and my cousin got mad 😡 at me and washed my hair and sat me to the side and finished up everyone else. I was there at 8am and didn’t leave until 9pm and that was the last time I went to that Batch!!!! My own cousin ( distant) but she was something else and she told me not to be late and she didn’t even get there until 9:30-9:45

Exactly! If the defendant denies that she burned the plaintiff's scalp, why would she take her in and put solution to treat the burned scalp? That doesn't make sense at all. Also, the hospital papers stated that the scalp was burned due to the chemicals that were added to her head. There were specific instructions for the plaintiff to take prednisone, and suggesting to put aloe to her hair. There was also a section that read that her hair might fall out. Of course, her hair could fall out; her scalp was burned and her hair was fried from being under the dryer for over an hour.

@anndeecosita3586
@anndeecosita3586 Ай бұрын
@@shendisackettShe wanted a curly perm. The size of the curls is determined by the size of the perm rods used. The plaintiff explained how the stylist’s estimate as to how long the process would take was based on the size of the curls she wanted. Sometimes people with naturally curly hair get curly perms because they want a different size curl or a uniform size curl. A relaxer can loosen curls but often it won’t give you a uniform look throughout your head if you don’t already have it.

Yeah I caught that, too. Defendant stated she did her hair on the Wednesday BEFORE Thanksgiving but specifically open her closed shop on Monday?? to treat her scalp and offered half her money back?? That Monday would have been 5 days later 😆 so what would be the point?? That makes zero sense. It does, however, make sense if she had done her hair on the Saturday, 2 days earlier... She tripped her own self up with that nonsense...
@PowerDiva

Sounds like the defendant was negligent. Instead of working at the salon she had the game on, had family there eating leftovers etc. Probably had too much going on and let that lady sit too long with chemicals in her hair... and now she doesn't want to admit to her mistake. When you're at work, you're supposed to be at work and your clients come first.
@johnsmi213
@johnsmi213 Ай бұрын
That must be why she denied it was after Thanksgiving 'cause she realized she had neglected her eating leftovers, watching the game, as the plaintiff said, etc. And she's frantic while lying, deciding in advance to deny everything. She realizes she neglected her and caused this injury and now she's getting backlash so all she can do is give the Shaggy defense - "Oh, I've never seen this woman in my life and I believe she was bald at the time of the incident so there was no hair to burn."

This is why I stopped doing perms on my hair. It's outrageous to have a perm on your hair for 2 hours. That's definitely way too long. The defendant needs to find a new profession.

@anndeecosita3586
@anndeecosita3586 Ай бұрын
She was getting a curly perm not a relaxer. Typically these are different chemicals and there is a secondary process in a curly perm not used in a relaxer where they put you under the dryer with perm rods and a solution in the hair. Usually like 30 minutes. This woman didn’t know what she was doing.

I stopped going to salons when I stopped using chemicals in my hair. Before that I was programmed that you should go to professionals for chemical services but believe me not all of them are competent in every kind of service but some won’t admit it. I have had both curly perms and relaxers. Some stylists will belittle you when you question them because they have the “education” and you don’t. Make you feel intimidated to speak up after that. I remember distinctly asking some not to put certain products in my hair and they would do it anyway. I would have to wash my hair the next day.

Defendant’s argument is its written in an appointment book. As a sister of hairstylist, let me tell you how many times that can be moved. Also; her dates of recollection are just wild and change each explanation. She came in on the 20th wed; despite i am not open mon-wed… then she came back on the 26th (6 days after)because her scalp was burning . That evening i did her hair she went to the er. Oh um she didn’t come back to my salon for burn treatment… The minute she provided medical care, and it was honestly a pretty solid what day it was

I had to go through many perms as a child because my mother wanted me to. Well it wasn’t a good idea, and even my uncle, who was a great stylist, would never let me sit in solution for longer than 15-30 minutes (my mom always tried to have him leave it on longer.) My mother didn’t agree and one time left me in solution for over an hour… I lost soo much hair and had horrible chemicals burns I’m the middle of summer…

First of all, waiting for 5 hours to get your hair done when you were on time for your appointment is crazy, talk more of getting a burnt scalp which is worse!! It feels like your brain is on fire!!! Great judgement JJ. The defendant is not a great/honest business woman. How can you leave a person under the hairdryer for so long!! Honestly, the plaintiff should have left and not waited for 10am - 3pm. The defendant must be greedy trying to perform different hair services at the same time on different people!!!

The same thing happened to my girl. They were busy and left her sitting under a dryer with chemicals far too long. She had hair burned so much that it was matter to her scalp almost like superglue. She’s young and non confrontational so she paid and left without saying anything until she came to my house and showed me. It’s was awful. Workers need to pay attention, they could cause permanent damage, their negligence is not even funny. Smdh
