I remember when vets did not charge very much, didn't live in big exoensive homes and treated all animals including doing emergency farm and small animal offive calls. All local vets did a rotation out of respect for each other when it came to emergency calls. There was no such thing as 'cats only " vet offices etc. Now they want to make as much as a surgeon. They immediatly want to do expensive tests that are not necesary. And now they like to take owners in to getting an animal necropsy, after they die, even when it s old age. Those cost up to $1,000.

It's not the parks that are dangerous, it's the bad dog owners that are dangerous. If your dog doesn't get along with any other dog, big or small, then you should not be allowed to use the same park. Or go when there's no one there, but then leave when others show up. People suck.

It's for lazy people take their dog for some kind of exercise. People don't even understand that dog get better exercise with their owner training them not with other dogs. Dogs form a pack or hierarchy. Going to a park is asking for trouble

I took care of my daughters dog while she had surgery and recovery. I lived in an apartment so I had to use the dog park for him to be able to run and exercise. He was use to a large yard. There were no parks near.

Dogs are social creatures and should have the opportunity to socialize with other dogs. When they do not have that opportunity on a regular basis to socialize with other dogs from a young age that is when they become aggressive.

When you have a little dog and someone says, "I'm not sure how my dog is with little dogs." You take your little dog away. It's on you when you receive that information - or why did you bother asking? Having your little dog on a leash doesn't protect it from teeth.

As much as I like the plaintiff, how in the hell did he not realize that his small dog was being attacked by the defendant’s husky? 🤔 If I see ANY dog coming near my small dog, I’m going to pick my dog up immediately to ensure that my dog is not in danger. I don’t understand why this is such a difficult concept for small dog owners to understand. You simply do not allow other dogs near your small dog unless there is a prior established relationship, or there is no threat posed to the dog.

Defendant seems like a really nice guy and the whole incident is unfortunate. But honestly, I think if you're at a dog park and the other dog owner tells you that they aren't sure their dog will be safe with your small dog, then it's your own choice to stay at the dog park and take that risk. It was up to him to either take his dogs out or hold his dog in his lap to ensure her safety.

I don’t frequent dog parks just because these situations are bound to arise, because all dogs react as individuals …. But more of a danger in my mind is the risk of my dog contracting illness from other dogs and their feces. I stay away.

I go to the dog park everyday and I go to many different dog parks. Every single park in my area gas a park for dogs 35 lbs and higher and one for 35lbs and lower. If that was the case here which maybe it wasn't but I'd it was then that mam would completely be in the wrong foe brining his 6 pound dog into the big park and keeping it on a leash. It is irresponsible. There is a reason they are separated and I am surprised that there is even a possibility that the park they were at may have not been separated.

One thing I envy about the US is dog parks. We simply don't have them. I have to slip into a baseball enclosure if my dogs are to get a good run off-leash.
