Your detailing channel is the best, recommending good procedures and products. Not designer products, like some others.

@@imjoshv no man, thank you. I’ve always had a passion for detailing cars and your channel inspired me to learn more than the basics. I’d love to have a business one day but my problem is I’m really slow. Do you have any tips on how to be more efficient while not compromising quality? Or is it just something I’ll pick up along the way? Thanks for all your help buddy

@@contacthigh8571 Same here! It takes me 1 whole day to take care of my car. I was also thinking of having my own detailing business but I don't think it will very profitable.

@@TheMROD79 yeah man idk how these guys bang out jobs in anything less than 6 hours. It takes me forever to do my Toyota Highlander and it’s never even that dirty to begin with. I can’t imagine having to do a car as dirty as my wife’s😂😂😂 Maybe we just don’t work fast enough bro

Josh.... I bought that product probably 4 years ago and never used it. Still brand new... Always inside my garage. Would you think that would still works? Same with their Celsius spray. I think they do good products but there are better options for the money. I'm happily surprised to see a Pro like you reviewing this product. It takes away the guessing if the other person who commented negatively about the product actually used it correctly. That gives me peace of mind. I will keep looking on your videos for any updates on this. If the product performs like it should,.... Then the prep work is nothing because it will save you tons of hours of your life cleaning the tire over and over

Love your videos man. Been debating on that tire dressing for a year now I swear so I'll be watching for the next update to decide! Also, nice rims! I just put those exact ones on my tacoma.

Great videos Josh they have uped my car washing experience 10 fold. For the water based tire dressing you use for your business which one is that?

I have a lifted truck with big tires and I will never use armor all or any that kind of stuff again. I like the dura coating tired dressing because if you accidentally brush up against the tire there's nothing on your fresh white shorts. Dry to touch while the other stuff leaves your tires sticky. If you drive down one dirt road you're done with the sticky stuff you need to clean the tires and reapply armor All over again. Dirt collects up on it and makes it look horrible fast.

For easy prep use a tar remover like tar x or stoners tar and sap remover and a quick scrub rinse and maybe clean with a mild soap or cleaner, dry the tire and coat 5 minutes per tire max to prep and I would just clay, polish and coat the wheels at the same time so the wheels and tires stay cleaner and are extremely easy to clean.

Great video. I just got this dressing but haven’t applied yet so I really want to see it. I don’t mind scrubbing my tires 3, 4, 6x to get clean before dressing that’s standard I didn’t know people complained about that. Suck it up, do it right.

Thanks for your content. I have a request: apply Dura Dressing to a small portion of under-hood hose(s) to determine how high temperatures affect the longevity. Even a short-term visual improvement might justify applying it there, as well. Just a thought. Thanks, again.

For what it’s worth, you have to reapply every 2-3 months. Lifetime of the tire means the coating is still absorbed in the tire even when it is looking dull. Reapplying the coating just gives the shine back and protection. Otherwise great video

Hey man I wanted to come to your channel to ask if you know of any good wheels cleaners? What can break down caked on brake dust without damaging the wheel finish or clear coat? I bought two differnet type from chemical guys and I'm kind of losing faith in them. They didn't take off a single spec of even dirt from them.
@jasonhausauer86622 жыл бұрын
I know it's early in the test, but do you forsee this possibly cracking down the road? I've heard of tire coatings at some point cracking or flaking off and that kinda makes me hesitant on those types of products vs a regular dressing. Love the channel! Keep up the great work!

I’ve used this product for over a year. You will need to reapply near the 1 year mark. My truck is parked outside all year round.

BUYER BEWARE!! Absolutely no way does the appearance of this product look like it did the day you applied it. For me, I scrubbed the new tires (BRAND NEW CAR) 5 times. Applied the coating and it looked good. Only 3 months later the shine has faded significantly! This is a car kept in the garage and driven only 800 miles on nice sunny days and the car was only washed 2 times!! These youtube videos suggest this will last for years with no maintenance. Don't believe it!! This is not the case and the company should make it clear. This is a very expensive product that is labor intensive and IMHO simply not worth the money and effort. There are plenty of products that do the same. BUYER BEWARE!!
@imjoshv2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for letting us know your experience with it! It’s been some time since I’ve put it on now and it definitely still has a sheen to it but as I said in the update video, I still prefer the look of a freshly dressed tire to what this looks like a month later.

Eh... just not worth the effort and cost for long lasting appearance in my opinion.
