Will this work on a early 2011, 17” MacBook Pro 💻? Best regards, David.

Hi Collin, saw your video with Louis Rossman and also checked your NVRAM solution on your website. I have been using something similar for the past 2-3 years by using the following in terminal (if you upgrade the OS or shutdown, you have to redo as it is not a permanent solution- and dim works but keyboard lighting not) on my 2011 MacBook Pro 17" using High Sierra: Enter Recovery Mode : Command + R + S Type : /sbin/fsck -fy Type : /sbin/mount -uw type : nvram fa4ce28d-b62f-4c99-9cc3-6815686e30f9:gpu-power prefs=%01%00%00%00 Restart the system : shutdown -r now

Any ongoing effort to bring this fix to the mid-2011 Mac mini with Radeon HD 6xxx chips ? I've got one that boot loops dozens of times before finally letting me boot, and then likes to reboot as soon as the machine goes to sleep. Replaced SSD, RAM, PSU and most people I've read about in this boat figure it's the integrated graphics, but no good way to disable as of yet, that I am aware of.

It's not possible, as iMacs use only the dedicated GPU, and don't have a gMux like the MBPs.

Does this solve the brightness and sleep issues in High Sierra and Mojave?

It solves the sleep issue, but backlight control will not work.
