great video! I definitely needed this. I wish I would've seen this before i ended up chipping the windshield when removing the mount off. now I have to figure out how to repair the glass to put the mount back on

Homie I did this but few things. I took my button out but there’s this black layer on plastic on the button, I’m trying to get it off right now. Second, I let the button cure overnight and when I went to twist the mirror on, the glue holding the button just came off, so, I’m going back to my first point and making sure the button is bare metal.

Putting those plastic trim things on in the end is extremely difficult. Probably why he didn't film that part.

How did you (or anyone) remove the button from the glass in the first place. In my case the button is still glued to the windshield, but the tri-locking parts on the button broke. The actual mirror is not broken and the tri-prongs on it are perfect.

hit the button with a butane lighter for about a minute until the glue melts. Have a thick towel in opposite hand for button to fall in to.

Hi, I am having a hard time removing a metal mount from the bracket. I tried hard to twist it with the right tool but failed.. Would you give me any advice? Thank you!

How to repair the black tint on the glass, under the button.. Or can a button be glued directly to glass with no black tint -?? If any one knows, plus respond. Thank you

My local bmw garage said than they suggest toreplace the whole windshield lol cause this tactic may cause the mirror to fall off again. I don't believe that of course. Do you have a post event experience?
