I just did this fix because the ring had come off the ball holder and left it loose and the mirror hanging - so by your video, I saw that I could pull the whole thing off, sit with it and snap that ring back into place and voila! Fixed! Thank you!

I just replaced my rearview mirror. The old one was too loose. After replacing it, I can't lock and unlock the car with the keyfob. When I plug the old one back, it works. Do I need to program? It's a 2009 128, convertible.

Can you please let me know how to put the metal ring back around the ball and socket part inside the back of the rear view mirror mine has popped out and try as I may I can’t put it back. I get close but when I try to put the mirror in the socket the ring pops out again please help thank you. My car 2011 328i 2 door coup

pull the ball out of the socket , then put the ring ( in my case ring was plastic ) around the split plastic pieces then apply gorilla glue . let dry then push ball back into socket

My rear view mirror popped off when a sheet of ice from a truck in front of me flew off and hit my windshield. The mirror popped off its bracket. I have been clueless as to how to get the mirror back onto the front window. Now that I see how it’s done (thanks to the handsome gentleman in this video (blushing) 👱‍♀️💕💋 I am going to attempt to get it back on myself. It appears as if the mirror must be on an angle… and then rotate it counter clockwise. Feeling confident💪👩🏼👌 that I will be able to do this successfully.
