One piece’s animation for hype moments has been top notch for a while now, but honestly this whole episode was a testament to how good and creative the baseline animation has become. Sure, there are still moments one cheap animation, even in this episode, and as long as it’s weekly I can’t really expect anything different. But literally every episode in this arc so far has had at least one moment where I thought ‘bro the animation!’. It’s really cool to see the anime being this quality this consistently along with the animators being taken care of by all accounts

She's not top tier, but Perona is actually really powerful. You basically need either sea water / sea stone, Haki, Logia fruit powers, the opportunity to take her by surprise, or to be a naturally depressed person like Usopp to beat her. Even large groups of normal fighters can't handle her.

That brings up an interesting question. Could Perona, who is essentially a ghost human, interact with Homies or Brook, one being soul fragments and another being an actual soul? Could Perona's Hollows rip out weaker souls from Homies similar to how Brook could? Could Brook touch her in his spirit form if she becomes a ghost, intangible meeting intangible results in solid meeting solid? For that matter, could Perona's Hollows have the opposite effect, increasing other's willpower and motivation through the use of "Positive Hollows" of some sort? Makes you wonder.

I do like the idea that there are these weird powers out there that can theoretically one-shot nearly anyone (unless you are their natural enemy). Keeps people from getting too cocky. I like power scaling systems where you don't just become invincible once you reach the higher tiers of strength, because there's always somebody out there with a strange ability that you can't really _counter_ if they land a hit on you.
