+electronicsNmore Hello, I have a question, can you try to see if the engine of Perendiev works ? I believe, if you make a video on it, it must be very interesting.
@DrewMcDaniel
@DrewMcDaniel 8 жыл бұрын
If the original video was a scam, how exactly did he pull that off? You can very clearly see the wheel accelerate by itself and he gives a 360 view of the machine as it's running. He takes it off the wheel and places it back on before spinning it. There are clearly no strings attached. I can't think of one feasible way the original video was faked. And if that's the case, then you might wonder why this recreation doesn't work. Most likely one of the finer details is off. It is clearly not an exact replica of the original just from one quick glance even.

+electronicsNmore edit: sorry see my other comment, the fan explanation doesn't work. the creator of the original video was talking and rotating the machine a full 180 as it operated. i did watch the entire video several times. i couldn't think of any way it was faked. and you still haven't provided a plausible explanation as to how it could have possibly been faked. you think i'm easily duped, but i never made a conclusion either way as to its legitimacy. you are the one who has jumped to conclusions.

I've just stumbled across one of your videos, and I'm hooked. Binging on them now. I'm in that realm where I would like to believe that somehow it is possible "not this device ;)" but I had to comment. I love how you were describing the alleged workings of this device, (4:40) and I'm guessing you heard yourself, because you literally stopped and said "the whole thing is actually ridiculous" I started laughing hard lol. It was great. The trickery with these is sneaky, but I can see how they get by. When I was a kid there was a video showing how you could unlock your car door using a tennis ball with a hole cut out. Press hard against the lock and "click" it's open. I was amazed. What you didn't see was off camera someone with the remote keyless entry fob pressing the unlock button. It plays on our willingness to want to see these things successfully operating. I appreciate you taking the time to debunk. I'm a dreamer so I think it could happen in some form, but thanks to you I am reminded that seeing isn't believing.

I saw a video of a device like this but it was spinning. I notices that the posts that hold the two tabs were shaped funny. They were large at the base and smaller at the top. Yet the posts holding the wheel axle where much smaller and uniform. Could this have been used to hold a battery and step up circuit? It appears to me like that aparatis is just an electrostatic motor.

Hello. I'm 75 years old and have seen so many scams I've lost count. However the child in me still wants to believe. As I understand it a machine uses energy to produces work. A perpetual motion machine must be capable of doing more than just continuing in motion. It must produce something useful. Thank you.

Thanks for replicating, good job. I see a few people have replicated, but strange that no one has an alum disc on one side of the expanded polystyrene. The original does not have a "white" side, it is alum. Im not criticizing, im just making an observation of what i think would be an important detail to leave out of a replication. But either way i dont see how it could work,,,And thanks again for replicating. Maybe he electrically charged the alum plate first, and if he kept it running in the video it would slow down & come to a stop eventually? He mentions it being like a capacitor, but where would the energy come from that would charge it as it spins(cant get energy from nothing), so maybe he pre-charged it?

Before I watched this video I watched the other and made my own replica which absolutely works.I think the only difference is I used aluminum strips like the other video and here you used aluminum tape.I also used copper like the other video as opposed to the brass which you used.I have no idea how these factors make a difference.However,I can assure you the model I made works 100%.Also,because of the way he picks it up and moves it around in the other video your theory of a pressurized air stream blowing on it is not possible.With all due respect I suggest that you remake it from the same materials as shown in the other video,as I did.You will be surprised with the results.I will be uploading my model shortly.

Watching your video reminds me that end 2015 I have produced two complete devices with pre- cision machined wheels plus several wheels from different materials and a few bearing variants. Of course none of them keeps on spinning, but I must say that my version is rotating way better than all what I have seen so far. The best was running almost 2 minutes and when watching it is hard to believe that there is no trick used. I want to state that this is not my invention and I was duplicating it only for curiosity and interest in the matter. I was trusting the man who posted the doubtful video and I wanted to find out the truth myself. See video Perpetuum mobile die fünf, Bgr , it might be interesting.

This actually looks like an electrostatic motor. I bet if you applied differing static charges to one side and the other (Positive and Negative), it'll start spinning using the electrostatic energy generated from the electrostatic generator. Will not spin by itself though. I'm guessing what the video did was, it had some sort of electrostatic generator in the background but used really thin wires to transport the energy and get it to spin. xD

I believe the secret was not someone blowing off screen in the original due to the smooth constant motion at all rotations. However, I believe the secret is in the fact that he used metal contacts on either side of the wheel, which were never explained, and unnecessary in the design. The other hint was the poor quality of the wheel, which could have easily disguised hidden wires inside as well. (I mean really i've seen better circles cut by gradeschoolers.) Add in a magnet into the base and you have a simple motor that many of us made in elementary school. While I am not someone to discredit perpetual motion, I do know that we need to be extremely skeptical of it. My personal instinct is that we won't see perpetual motion outside of nano-scale devices.

I like what you're doing. It is indeed a service to protect an interested public from getting ripped off with regard to their money, time and, worst of all, enthusiasm. Hopefully you will walk the walk when someone submits a device that works. I do have a critique. Your idea of not linking back to fraudsters is good. However, when you merely orally reference a bogus device, it is difficult for someone who has not seen the original presentation to get the point of your debunking. Generally a fraudster will have some erroneous explanation as to how their device works and this is key to understanding the debunking. Why not include a cut from the original, which would provide this background?

Stick a couple of kilovolts between the curvy metal bit and the pointy metal bit and it will spin - by drawing a tiny trickle of current from the external power source. Electrostatic motors are well known, and really high efficiency - you just don't see them often because they need really high voltages and produce very little torque. You could fake perpetual motion by using some hair-thin wires to feed it the required power, but blowing air would be easier.

the real question, are we trying to prove free energy as in gaining energy from almost nothing or are we trying to improve electricity output using less resource's, this is what confuses me, see ive drawn up theory's on overbalanced wheels and no matter what, both sides of the radial weighs the same no matter how you engineer them, but I also believe that they could work with assisted mechanisms, I'm an average Joe trying to make a difference even if its just a small one.

Hi, I am no expert, but I am looking at perpetual motion as a form of energy. I also have not seen the other video you refer to, but 1 perpetual motion "machine" I have seen work was called "the unbalanced wheel". Maybe the creater of the other video had an unbalanced wheel, which has nothing to do with magnets or tape. Just a theory...

magnetism is not an eternal source, I.e. a refridgerator magnet, sure it'll stick to your fridge for a long time, but eventually the magnet will neutralize itself, needing remagnetized. a magnet is not perpetual; therefore a magnet cannot run a perpetual engine.

he rotated it a full 180 as it was spinning, so if it were faked i doubt it was with a fan like yours. also he was talking while the wheel was spinning. so the audio wasn't edited. the back end of your machine with the curved strip goes nearly all the way to the bottom whereas in the original that strip only goes a small way down. seems minor, but if it is real i'd imagine it would make a big difference. i'm going to try and recreate it eventually. i don't have high hopes. but i've watched the original video so many times and can't think of one way it was faked.
@DrewMcDaniel
@DrewMcDaniel 8 жыл бұрын
Although I suppose it is possible that someone was holding a silent fan out of camera view and rotating it as the machine was being rotated. The wheel turns at such a steady rate though, it would be hard to pull of the fake, but possible.

I don't believe tesla was trying to make a machine that would run forever without maintenance. I believe that he was trying to invent a machine that would run on another form of free energy like wind, water and sun. The difference is he was trying to use static energy magnetism and/or kinetic, the flywheel effect, energy as free power sources. Once started in motion the engines would need no outside energy to keep them going. Unfortunately a way to use magnetism to move something without moving the magnet or adding another form of energy has so far not been found. I feel that there is a possibility tthat this can be done but I'm not the one to figure it out. Thank you.

+Florida*ARMY*VET Tesla knew the laws of physics and understood how they work. I don't think he was wasting time on free energy. He would rather try to invent let's say "cheaper energy" or more efficient ways to employ energy in every day life. If free energy existed it would mean that the greatest minds such as Newton, Einstein and others were wrong. And our lifes would be gone cause its built on those theories.

True 'free energy' is an impossibility. The laws of physics don't allow it. There are some technologies that come close through energy harvesting, but generally are too expensive or have too low a power density to be practical in most applications. You can build a device out of amorphous solar cells and tritium tubes that will generate a steady trickle of power for decades, but it barely provides enough to run a pocket calculator, and it'll still run out eventually. Or build an RF harvester that will generate whole milliwatts by using an antenna the size of a building, drawing energy from the radio signals that civilisation constantly pumps out now. But there is no magic box you can stick in a cupboard and power something from forever. Try solar. The sun isn't perpetual, but five billion years isn't too shabby.
