The models look really good. I appreciate more of this scale as opposed to the giant faced, meat-hook hands dudes of Warlord. I would definitely have to clip off the disk they are molded to because I use 25 mm GW bases so I can magnetize them for my carry case. It stinks how expensive It is to get Perry’s in the US because of the extortionate shipping costs

Nice - always tempted by a bit of North Africa action! I have mixed the Perry US infantry with the Warlord ones, they are tolerable to me at tabletop distances for mixing and matching, although I do tend to group them into separate squads if I think about it too much. Oh, and the carpet monster is unforgiving! It will defy physics and cause uncontrolled swearing.

Ooow! Long, baggy shorts, knee length socks, Ice Cold in Alex, Monty v. Rommel, jumpers for goal posts, etc. Got to love some 8th Army action.😀. Nice review chaps 👍. Can you add bayonets on to the Enfield? Can’t have a go at Jerry without bayonets fixed!

There are some bayonettes in there, I presume you just glue em to the rifles.

There were commandos in the North African Campaign, referred to as “Layforce” due to being led by Colonel Robert Laycock. Largely ineffective/under-utilised/misurilised as command didn’t really know what to with them!

I remember seeing something about this on a documentary some years back. Never sure how much truth there is in anything on TV, but at least we know they were there!

Fingers crossed! Yeah maybe ours was a mistake - there were two command sprues in there, which might be a mistake.

Im fairly sure the sas were made cause the comandos could only strike on coast line. I could be wrong not sure were i got that from

Not come across that idea - not sure there were any commandos in the desert either. Might be wrong, but I thought they were a Navy thing all bases in UK.

You are definitely right, very little coverage of ACW We have played a few black powder games using kallistra 12mm, and plan to do more in the future. As to 28mm, just don't have the time to paint the minis anytime soon.
