Can you move 5 affixes over to an LP4 unique from an experimental item with a sealed affix?

No 1. You cannot use an experimental item with a unique! 2. A sealed affix will never be copied to the unique! If you want the experimental affix to be in one of the 4 slots on the exalted item you wish to slam onto the unique, you must use a glyph of insight on an exalted item (just as he shows in the video), BUT DO NOT SEAL IT because sealed affixes are not copied!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now you have the experimental affix on your exalted item, add 3 other affixes you want, then slam the item.

The new Tunklabs page only has forging potential for boots; for belts it has the option to choose the base type and for gloves there isn't any "6th" parameter to modify

Similarly, if you find a good exalted item with a *bad* experimental affix, you can guarantee sealing it regardless of its tier. If it's T2 or higher, that bad sealed affix will then increase the tier of whatever new experimental affix you add. This is particularly handy if you want to smash a good experimental affix onto a unique with LP (for example, smashing exalted movement speed + high tier haste or frenzy effect onto 2LP boots).

Exalted Item, Experimental Affix is not sealed. Put that in the oven, there's a chance you'll get the affix on your Unique Item.

Does this still work? I've tried about 15... I say about 15, I've tried 15... Still no luck with a glyph of insight. And worse, in all the time I farmed for the runes, I haven't had a normal pair of gloves drop. I think the game hates me, or just my die are broken.

What part, I actually really like this system being included. Complicated but deterministic crafting adds an endgame skill/knowledge cap imo. I would wager you'll see another system like this but with a different set of items it appears on soon. My bet is on sealed dryads for elemental/healing affixes or something

@@SyllarenI mean, it's great if they want to make it deterministic, but it shouldn't be based on hidden knowledge that you could only know by going to a tool to calculate it for you. It makes me wonder if they intended for it to be something that could be targeted at all or if they just figured nobody would go past a layer of obfuscation to find out it wasn't random.

@darthelmet1 I think that's exactly how it should be, the base system is perfectly accessible, and for most players this event being RNG is fine. However once there are 5 different versions of this being aware there is a way to manipulate it, and knowing how to do so effectively, will be a major advantage offered by experience. This will only ever really matter in endgame crafting. You won't even have a glyph of insight in most cases until rather late game.

@@SyllarenI just think there are better and worse ways to achieve the same design objectives. You might like the outcome of this: That there is some advanced level crafting to be clever with, but there are almost certainly better ways of achieving that than obfuscation in this manner. It's sort of like the ass backwards rationalization for PoE's shitty trade system. They want progression to not be super fast so they want to discourage trading all the time. How do they do this? By just allowing the actual act of trading to be a fucking UX nightmare to engage in. 3rd party sites, sifting through bots, AFK players, price fixers, getting scammed, etc. Compare this to LE's solution: The trade UI is integrated and easy to use (at least I assume, I'm CoF. If it's not that doesn't seem intentional.) and the rate of trading is then limited by other means such as favor and the inability to resell an item. It achieves the same stated goal (I'd argue PoE doesn't even achieve that goal, it just makes people frustrated) of making people want to play the game more rather than just sitting at an AH trading all the time, but one does it through intentional design decisions that creates gameplay and the other just forsakes all responsibility for the UX experience and allows for frustration to substitute for design. idk what that better solution is, but EHG have impressed me a lot by attempting to (and to varying degrees succeeding) in tackling some of these design challenges that plague aRPGs. I think they could come up with something better than this. I refuse to believe that this was the intended experience whenever someone implemented this.
